Which one? The new LS based one or the uber bad ass 454 with 12.5 to 1 compression from the early 70's?

I do. Overheating, pile of junk. (And I'm a BBC fan!) And the new one is junk too. The block is awesome though, has nice long sleeves like the C5R, makes a perfect fit for a 4.250" crank. Much nicer than the LS2 junk. :yesnod:

Problem with most of them was that guys put them in street cars and used drag car ideas on it. Usually the radiators were dinky ass 2 row factory smallblock ones with chintzy ass flex fans and no fan shroud because they were lighter. Never cool a high compression big block that way.

Sometimes a friggin' 31 inch wide 1.25 inch tube radiator isn't enough. I'm still screwing with a slow warmup when cruising. I think it's time to send my Meziere electric pump in and see if it isn't pushing the gallons per hour they say it does.
