Basically when moving to a new place, I know I am going to be starting from a "clean slate"

I also know that I am not smart enough to know what plants need to go where, and how big each one will get 3-5 years down the road. So instead of thinking I know what I am doing by watching hours of HGTV,.... I want to do it right and hire a professional.

Well and by hire I mean, cash money. :)

So, thats it.... anyone out there do this? or know anyone that does?

Basically what I want to do is sit down with a person, tell them what I like and don't like and my ideas for what I want out of a yard. And then will let him have freedom to put the pen to the ink, and put a make a nice "blueprint" for me to use over the next couple years.

Here is an example, (obviously not mine, since I do not have a new place yet)

1slohoe does this for a living as well I believe

EDIT: re-read the OP, 1slohoe and Hilandr design business parks and the like I believe, Dan is probably the best bet on landscaping your house

Nearly all of my friends from K-State graduated with a landscape architecture degree... 2 live local and both do extra work for a good price in their off time. One of them is in the process of starting his own design build company right now.

I think my one buddy is on this site, ksugreggy ? The other I can just send you his cell #.

I can give you whatever contact information you need, just PM me.
