My brother n law has a 96 civic ex and he has a intake kit and a cat back on the car, and i was wondering, now that he has that stuff does he need a tuning.
next, if so or not what system do you suggest?
how much for install system and tune?
And what are some good power adders that would be good for the car, yet not brake the buget?
thanks for your time.

With those little bolt ons, he will not need to have it tuned. He can have it done to try to pick up a couple hp, but the stock ecu will run that vehicle fine.

And the next power adders I'd suggest are a good header, along with the zex camshaft.

has revline experienced any pitting on the zex camshaft for the sohcs due to improper break in or installation? or has revline had nothing but success with the zex camshaft....

I bought one when they first came out and my vtec lobe wore down.

I think they have revised it and the new "y" series of cams have not had reports of them wearing down.

We have since sold and installed a number of camshafts, with some customers going on 3+ years and still no problems. Only problem to me with the zex sohc cams are, they are louder than normal. So there is additional valve train noise with them. I'd say one of the camshafts I can recommend that actually picks up hp on a mild/stock motor even.
