Also wanted to follow up and let everybody know that MAP pricing for the RTP unit dropped from $450 to $399.

For a full tune from us (street/dyno w/ pump/race mapping) will now be $799 plus tax, previously $850. This includes the RTP unit and install/modification to the ecu by us as well as tuning.

If your ecu needs socketing for a chip/RTP or needing to be converted to VTEC, etc. please contact us for pricing. The pricing above takes into consideration you already have a socketed ecu.

Take Care

do you guys do any ecu repairs? i have a p72 ecu obd1 that has had a poor chipping job. i may need it diagnosed and see if its able to be repaired so i can get the neptune rtp board installed in it.

I can check it out to see if it can be repaired or if the chipping job wasn't up to par and something isn't soldered. If it has a burnt tracer we may be able to work around it. Just have to see it first hand.

has mkc had a chance to test out the pwm boost control function that was just incorporated into the neptune rtp system?

Nope, I'll give JR a call tomorrow and see about doing it though.

sounds like we may have to set up a new toy to play with on the Integra :-)

Placed the order for all the hardware to modify the ecu's, i'll try and pick up some stuff from Electronics Supply tomorrow to do it over the weekend as the stuff from digi-key will be here after the weekend.

I'll be testing it first on Chance's integra using an AEM boost control solenoid.

I'll let ya know how it works out and post back.

will you be testing various solenoids to see which ones work best with neptune?

From testing the GM and AEM solenoids with various engine management systems, I have found the AEM is the best one hands down. GM is prone to leaking after 15psi, many numerous accounts of this over the years.

The AEM we sell for $110 here and gives you many options as far as fittings go; either barb, AN, push lock, etc.

Sounds good Adam, they've been tested/used for many years in the AEM EMS community until AEM relaeased their billet boost soleinoid.

These things were made for the Cyclone and Typhoon back in the day and never meant for the extreme boost and duty cycles that we will put them thru.

I won't discourage people from using them and I will also carry them for this same reason, just going to give everyone all the facts about all the products up front for them to decide on what path to take.

I also have a GM one here that we can test as well with the AEM one for comparison purposes.

what modifications need to be done to the ecu in order for neptune's pwm option to work properly?

Chance

Basically the same kit that must be installed for the s300 needs to be used on the ecu for neptune/neptune rtp. I am giving chad my ecu tonight to chip and hopefully enough of the stuff outside will be melted by tomorrow to allow me to get my car out of the garage and test this system.

Here is a link to xenocron with a bit more information.

will all the neptune dealers have these components?

for example: if i send in my ecu to have the neptune rtp board installed, along with pwm boost control, will the dealer provide the pwm components or will the customer have to provide them?

Chance

I think it is going to be different from dealer to dealer. Chad however, I believe, ordered in enough of the parts to do quite a few pwm set ups including both of our Integras. So with us I think Chad is going to be trying to keep enough of the pieces in stock so people that want pwm can have it added without the need to wait for parts in the mail. I am unsure of what his cost will be for the installation but I don't see it being anything crazy especially if he is already in there doing the rtp.

I have enough components to do PWM for 25 ecu's currently.

As far as pricing goes, I am gonna charge the same $10 for the components that xenocron does, but install it for free at the same time the RTP is going in.

BTW, regular NepTune will have the same capability to control the PWM solenoid so this isn't just for the RTP. I will charge the same $10 and install the components for free in the customer's ecu as well.
