so i still havent checked my check engine light on the crx.... so maybe its related.... but for some reason at WOT the crx just falls flat on its face i dunno if you had any ideas on why or if it could be the ecu or what.... also since i need to replace the clutch in it i want to just go ahead and put a performance clutch in it and i was wondering what type of clutch you would recomend and if you stock it....... thanx

First thing you should have done, you could have done that in the time that it took you to type this post.
Why do you need a "performance" clutch? Whats wrong with a OEM Exedy clutch?

yeah ian, i remember the car cutting out under WOT, but wasnt sure if it was due to the severely slipping clutch, and non working speedo or what. its probably something simple, we just have to do a little looking around to find out why.

ya i cant figure out exactly what it is but i dont think it has to do with the clutch.... but ya i guess the speedo could have a hand in it.... oh ya and i was going to tell you that if you need some help fixing that quarter on your car let me know i can lend a hand.... you all seem to be a pretty good bunch of guys i wouldnt mind hanging with you all sometimes, you should hit me up

Sorry. Been busy. Mondays for us kinda sucks.
Anywho, on clutch selection. I'd say go with the ACT clutch kit. You can get the HD pressure plate and full faced street disc setup.
Or you can just order the Exedy stage 1 clutch kit. I had one on my b-series setup and it took all the way to 350 whp for it to slip. We can get you both clutches.

I think the Exedy Stage ones go for about ~300, I have one on my car, great clutch grabs great and feels like stock.
By the way i think i saw you at KCIR, were you the del sol lining up against the CRX?

ha ha ya.... my reaction times sucked and i couldnt get on it too hard out of the hole cause my tires wanted to break even with pre loading the suspension.... he still would have beat me but it would have at least been closer.... i was disappointed to say the least lol.... what were you in?

Haha yeah that was my cousin in the CRX. He was spinning pretty bad all day on crappy all season tires. Practically doing burnouts in 1st and 2nd. He traps good enough to go 14's, just needs a better 60ft. His best 60ft was like a 2.4
That was my first time out there and i was just to watch. I want to run my car for the first time, next time i go, but first im trying to stiffen up my mounts to eliminate some of the bad wheel hop my car has. I have a 93 Si hatch. It was the Teal one.

Ian, you're still OBD0 right? Do you know how to check the codes? I bet you $1 you got a code 17 for the in-op speedo!

hey, well i am obd1 now, i had them convert it.... ya we were wondering if thats what was throwin the code, which is no biggie. but im concerned for the most part because as soon as i go WOT my car just falls completely flat on its face and i dunno why

That is quite odd. I remember we couldn't test it because the clutch was slipping quite badly on it. Anywho, we'll try to scan some codes on her and go from there :)
