What is it?

What is it?

It could be the diesel in his signature. ( I think the OP stated no diesels earlier )

Oh yes, I am not sure if John has the optical pickup to pick RPM up on a diesel. I don't have one for my dyno and I don't think MKC does either, so there isn't really a way to get torque readings on a diesel vehicle. You typically just get horse power graphed by speed or elapsed time.

I planned on going and dynoing at higher boost than in my sig but rain looks like it's going to ruin my plans.

Never done a dyno pull on anything I own, but does this put a huge stress on the car or would it be on par with Running the car WOT through 1-4?

Less than that... it would be like doing a WOT pull from 3krpm to redline in 4th gear with no wind resistance... not bad at all if your car is in normal mechanical condition.

That is what I thought and my car is running as great as a 130,000 mile stock car can. I would like to get a solid baseline so I think this will work just fine.

Great time. Got my graph and it looks good. My only question is why did you start the dyno at 3000 RPM instead of say 2000 RPM?
