Lately my bike has been running warmer than usual. So I decided it was time to remedy it. I flushed my coolant tested my thermostat and after doing both of those my bike was running about the same. So I decided to do a tuneup and make sure the bike was running tip top. Still same result. I ended up having a local tuner Wilson Performance take a look at the bike. He found nothing wrong with it and said it most likely just runs warm. Instead of upgrading the radiator I decided to add a fan. I got 1 R6 fan it didn't fit at all. I ordered another from a newer R6 and it was a perfect fit in between the front frame rails.

Since I was installing a fan I decided to clean the grounds, as well as change out he fuse box for a more modern blade style one.

Fan installed. Yes I used zipties to hold it in place. I bought a transmission cooler install kit, but the zipties seem to hold a bit better and put 0 stress on the radiator

I might make a shroud for the fan to help with airflow.

I updated the fusebox to help get rid of some corrosion on the connections as well as get more up to date fuses on this bike.

The closer you get the fan to the core the more air it will pull through it. Yours will be pulling air from the sides and you won't get the full benefit.

I think my second stage of this project will be to make some sort of shroud for it.

The fan worked great yesterday. It brought my temps down to normal levels just below half in no time at all. I would like to rig up a butter mounting system for it though.
