e30 build

so im thinking about modifying my e30 bmw into a all around bad ass race car. i wanna do a turbo setup but not sure where to start looking i found a pre built one but i dont like it. you uys think you could build me a turbo manifold? the projects in the planning stages atm . im thinking rebuilt engine all forged, turbo , frount mount , and all the usual bs , one question is what engine managment should i be looking into using ?

if you are looking to swap in an e36 powerplant we can do this for sure as that is the motors we have the most r&d on as far as turbo applications and engine management.

With obd shark tuning software about to hit the market, you can use the stock ecu for a while before needing to go standalone like in the past.

well i was planning on using my e30 engine but if i could find a e36 that would be my secodn choice, i noticed your brother was pulling one from his m3 :) . the big thing is i can get a stock e30 block and head to start with the building right now for cheap, im just generally putting a game plan together right now and figuring it all out, when i get that vr4 done and come down to get it tuned if i brought a head do you think you could build me a manifold?

Would need the car with a motor in it to mock up a manifold.

The e46 motor and tranny would be a great platform to swap in the e30 but price wise right now you'd be money ahead to do the e36 motor swap. The motor in brothers car is an e36 motor btw as its a 328i from a 528 series bimmer. Built m3 shortblock is going in shortly.

yea i meant to type e36 in the last post. well dam i cant find anyone that sells a good manifold to bolt a t4 onto my head for a top mount turbo setup. i guess imma have to keep doign research im no where near as knowlegable on the bmw's as i am stealths

i have been bouncing the 4g63 e30 around in my head for a while. buttt have you checked out 666fab yet??

yea i have checked them out but they want like 1200 for a mani. the guy who sold me my e30 has a 95 5-series he is willing to work out something on me with to get cheap so im pondering to do the e30 thats light as hell or the 5-series that is alittle slicker. update i found a bolt on t4 manifold for 500 from turbo charging dynamics

not a lot of room in he engine bays with the way the motor sits to put an equal penh tubular manifold together.

Check out 666 fabrications as he has some killer stuff for bimmer manifolds

i actually checked their site yesterday and they said they arnt takign orders at the time. turbocharging dynamics hgas one that ill prolly buy, or their is an "adapter" that bolts onto the stockers then routes back up thats cheaper but ill prolly go full mani
