First off, let me begin by saying that I am in Manhattan, so it's an adventure getting out to MKC, espiceally when they have my car.

I dropped it off with high expectations, and wasn't disappointed too many times.

I was originally told that it would be ready about 3 & 1/2 weeks after I left it with the gang. I went and did the sucky army thing down at Ft. Polk, Louisana. When I returned, Chad said they had some issues with the parts getting to KC on time. So they were a little behind schedule. No ding on them, Shep and Buschur were taking their time with shipping my things.

Then noone had any transmision breakdown diagrams of my 6spd and 06 transfer case. It happened to be the same as an 05 transfer case in the end, and they found out the issue with the new housings soon enough. Kudos to them, they ripped the guts out and re-assembled them and assured me they would hold out against my beatings that were assuredly to come.

I went to pick it up on a pre-schuled day, and saw that it wasn't even totally put toghether yet. they had some issues w/ the exhaust, so thats me showing my a$$ and not making sure the pieces were compatiable.

They shortened and re-clocked the offending piece, and welded in another O2 bung for the wideband.

The meth injection took another day, and the tuneing another after that, +1 day for the break-in of my clutch. The tunes were awesome, and minus 1 small miniscule wireing problem (pesky grounds), it was flawless. The tunes made the car so much more fun to drive, and the meth delivered as promised.

But, while installing the uego and fixing my Defi system, the directional stickers for the climate control system and the temprature settings were swapped, by an owner of another evo. It confused the $hit out of me until I got in another lancer and *poof* lightbulb. So I ordered more of those.

I also noticed today that the bumper wasn't re-aligned against the passenger headlight properly. So tommorrow if I have time I need to take the bumper off and re-align it. My cd's which wern't really secured the best (armrest cubby) were thrown in the back, on the floor, with dirt. I threw 20 of them away. The weld job on my perrin downpipe looks like someone threw some rust at it, using non-stainless wire on a 17.00 dollar pipe.

But Chad & Scott threw toghether two nice tunes for me in like a 30 hr period, and even though we wern't always clear and concice on what was going to be done and when, it all was finished, 2 weeks later than I had hoped to be. The alky kit install was perfect, period.

Soooo, I expected a little better than what I got from a shop with 2 other Evo owners, but all in all I'd give MKC an 7.5 out of 10. I'd go there agian, and recommend them, but make sure you go there with everything being done to the car on hand, and a definate plan of action, and clean the crap out of your car. Don't just wing it because they seemed to have alot of cars going in and out of their 1 bay.

Can't wait to come back in a year and a half to the new location (Cross fingers) and awd dyno.
