The wrap serves multiple purposes. It can be used to change the look of a vehicle without the cost and permanency of paint, it can be used to advertise a business and it can be used to protect the paint.

I know of several people who have had clear bra installed not only on the front bumper, but have had their entire hoods, quarter panels, side skirts and side view mirrors covered to prevent rock chips and scratches. A wrap like WrapFactory provides is no different. It can be used as much to protect the car from rocks and debris as it it can be used to change the look of the car.

As for it being "ricer vinyl", there are SEVERAL Viper owners who have used vinyl to stripe their cars instead of having them painted. There are actually pre-made stripe kits available for that exact reason. In fact, many of the red/white "limited edition" cars aren't really limited editions. They were solid red cars that the owners applied white vinyl stripes to in order to get the same look. Unless you're a professional, it's hard to tell the difference between a well applied vinyl stripe and paint. Plus, you can pull the stripes off if you don't like them or if a prospective purchaser doesn't like them, you can change the colors of the stripes at will for very little cost as compared to paint, and if a stripe is gouged, it's easier to simply pull it off and re-apply it than it is to repaint the whole hood or roof. Same thing with a wrap.

For a couple hundred bucks, this Lambo owner can have a one-off looking deck lid and protect it from scratches and stupid mechanics who might otherwise scuff the bonnet. If he gets sick of it, no big deal. Just peel it off.

As for the vinyl protecting the lambo I agree. But why a CF looking vinyl and not flat black like the other cars? Or a vinyl that is the same color as the vehicle?

Also, taking the vinyl off after a period of time will show that the color of the paint won't match the rest of the car since it hasn't got any sun.

a-pillars we're cut to short (passenger side), then re-applied on the supra. Should of been tucked under the window trim. It looked pretty shitty. Rest of the car looked decent though.

The show was a great success!!! The first day "friday" we booked enough jobs to put us out a month on full wraps!!

Everyone was very impressed with the work, and I would say 9 out of 10 people thought the supra was painted. Everyone kept asking why it was in a wrap booth??

Wraps hold up very well on daily drivers, the material was designed to be used on commercial vehicles. 3M warranties the material for 3yrs, we also offer a 3yr/36k mile warranty on the wrap and labor. The wrap is more durable on rock chips than paint, but the warranty is more geared towards peeling, fading etc.

Very well, Ive had my truck wrapped for about 30k miles now. I have had it in the mud, salt, sand etc I drive it everyday and wash it at the nasty brush car wash places and it still looks good as the day it went on.

Doing the engine bay would be tricky, it has no problem with heat at all. The total install takes 2 days.

Okay guys but the email for the redo was sent a month after the problem was stated.
If it bugged you SOOOO much to have an unsatisfied customer out there why did you let it stew for a whole month before you offered to redo it. I know you're busy but I mean if it bugs you that he's unhappy then don't give him the silent treatment (waiting for his to grow up in your words) for a month and then give him a random email offering to redo it. I mean if a professional business was giving me the silent treatment (real professional btw) I would dispute the charges too. Obviouisly he hadn't seen the email to redo before the charges were disputed. I'm sure if it were just given one day earlier so he could see it, he wouldn't have disputed. Now he's apologized for the thread. Can't you two kiss and make up?
