IBhesuggestPICs
Get PIC's, my buddy has them on his civic and it rides really nice, I think they go for about 700?
FYI - your civic does not have struts, its has shocks/springs.

Yea, if you are looking for a good all around package with correct dampening/spring combos. It's a really good idea to go with a full body coilover setup. The ride is a little stiffer and firmer, but the rewards you get for handling and track purposes is awesome.
Alot of the guys down @ the shop have the PIC full body coilovers on their cars, so if you want to see what it feels like, just let us know and we'll try to take you for a spin in a car with the street setup.
If you don't want to go full bodied coilovers, we can get KYB GR2, AGX. Tokico illumina and blues and a couple others.
And civics do have 4 struts :)
yeah i'd like to see what the pic full bodies feel like so i might have to stop by sometime... and whats the price on those? if they're like $700 then would i be better off with those or some like tein basics?

I'll try to see if someone has the 8/6 street setup on their car that can take you for a spin.
As far as the tein vs PIC, it's all preference. We've installed both systems on customer's cars and both are nice quality coilovers.
Only thing I like about the PICs over the tein is that the PICs are one COMPLETE ready to bolt in coilover.
With the tein setup, you have to take the top strut hats off and transfer it over. PIC = non complicated no hassle install.

stay AWAY from the tein basics...I have them and the rears are way to soft, I think in the area of 200ish spring rate, while the front is at 450ish

And civics do have 4 struts :) :lol2:
A strut is as much of a part of the steering system as it is the suspension, a strut gets rid of the use of an upper control arm... however a shock does not. Most Hondas do have a upper control arms (01 and older in most cases).

To keep the thread on topic, I'm half tempted to switch from my Tein SS's to PIC's... After riding in Joel's car, I've fallen in love with them. Not to mention they're super fucking easy to install, as Chuong said!!!

I need a ride in ones of these cars, chuong almost has me sold on them, but I need a ride, my birthday is coming up. Are the shocks adjustable on them or just the ride height?

They have the APEX which are ride height adjustable.
Then they have the selects which are dampening adjustable also.
The Apex setup is 700
and the Selects are 1000 :)
I think efcivicgen4 (something like that) has the 8/6 on his car.

yeah, i have the 8/6 street PICs. but my rear is preloaded a little bit, so its a little stiffer then usual. if anyone sees me down at the shop, i dont mind taking someone fora ride.

im thinking about putting the other seat in without sliders. i hardly ever have anyone in my back seat, and if i do they at least its reclinable.
