What's up yall. Name's Greg but I go by Kryptic. Moved to the KC/Gladstone area about a month ago and looking to meet some new people that share the same passion I do for show cars and racing. Just started a club aptly named Kuztom Tuner Kingz (KTK) and looking for new members. I'm looking for like minded people in the KCMO and Gladstone areas. People MUST have some kind of vehicle, preferably a sports car, american muscle, or import tuner. ONLY SERIOUS INQUERIES!!! I'm doing this for those who have a real passion and drive, so don't waste my time if your just going to give me lip service and tell me what I wanna hear. This club is a 50 / 50 deal. What I mean by that is I wanna hear that you're serious... then I wanna SEE that you're serious. I dont want one without the other... If you wanna get at me then send me a message and I'll hit you back up with some contact info.

Actually just new to KCSR and re-trying a car club idea out of Cheyenne, Wyoming. KTK never really took off there, so I tried to change the name a bit and start anew out here.

It prob won't take off here, either.

Just sayin, the club craze died out around the release of F&F2.

My 93' Eagle Talon was sponsored through these guys and I had no issues... and there is no harm in trying. The worst that can happen is it doesnt take off because of nay-sayers.

I would rather protect other members of the site that would be gullible to fall for this scamming crap, also I don't think it is a scam I know there is a difference there. I know what a real sponsorship is like and it sure in the hell didn't take me "5 mins of my time and $88.00 later" and a OMG you are totally sponsored phone call from some call center with such craptastic deals I could barely contain my excitement.

I was in the car show scene this isn't my 1st rodeo ;)

Just a heads up for everyone if they plan on "paying for a sponsor" use google and other internet resources and do the homework on SCP and carsponsorship.com and numerous other copy cat sites.

Technically, I guess this is my first rodeo trying to start anything. What I need is people like you wjo have been there and done that to give me advice, not shoot me to shit, lol. I'd like to stay in one piece and just do something like this for fun and the love of cars. So JDLM... how about some help, please.

You will find plenty of those people on here, as long as you don't constantly ask where people go to "race". If you ask that, we'll tell you to take it to the track. Just lurk the forums for a while and see how people interact, its the best advice I can give. Starting "clubs"/"racing"/"paid sponsors" won't get you anywhere here.

I drive a 97' Chevy Cavalier Z24 (stock for now, but changing soon). And who's questions haven't I answered? I wasn't even aware there WAS a Toyota version of the Cavalier... I thought only chevy made it. Shows what I know. The difference between a Cavalier and a Cavalier Z24 is pretty much that the Z24 has a 2.4L Twin Cam and is dubbed to be the "sports" version of the car. I plan on throwing this to be a show car because it's an automatic. Not much I can do to race without it being a manual, ya know? I'm looking into black and chrome rims, vertical doors, new paintjob (seeing mine isn't all that great with the scratches and all), some glowshift gauges, LEDGLOW kit for sme ground effects, a body kit, and a sound system either from O2 or Blaupunkt. This will all take time of course.

Also, if this is someone elses car from on here then I apologize. I had to pull a car from online that was the same color as mine due to the fact that I have no way to post my actual car on here yet. Will be getting pictures soon hopefully, so I apologize if that caused an inconvenience...

Btw kryptic my truck only came from ford with a auto... I also know there are even a few corvettes, cameros, andmustangs with autos out there... So are those not ment to be raced? I think you need to throw a couple bottles in your trunk, say fuck it, an spray the shit out of it... A win by a inch or mile, is still a win. :)

We catch the tail end of things out there, so when I got a new car I just wanted to ick up where I left off. I'm not too current in the car culture. Without a car I felt cut off from the world. My choice of transmission to race is manual, never raced an auto before so I was just going with what I knew before (or thought I knew). What would you guys suggest I do with this car then? gutted interiors, 3spd auto trannys, carburetors, 3" strait pipe exhausts, primer fiberglass front ends, shiny everything else, 350CI+ powerplants, and tubbed rear ends are "in" right now...:leaving:

I noticed that when I moved here that there is a serious lack of Burger Kings in the local area I am, the nearest one is like 15 mins away and I think in Gladstone somewhere lol.

If you really want to be a street racer out here, you need a honda of some variety preferably with a LOT of faded paint, and a giant fart can on the back...Yes, you'd fit in real nice around here if you did that...
