Well get this question from many, so here goes.
Yes :thumbsup: you can get insurance without actually owning a car, the law actually states that you should have a non-owner policy inforce in case you do drive a vehicle not registered to your name, because you should have insurance on all the vehicles registered under your name no matter in what condition they are in.
A non-owner policy is only liability.
If court is requiring a SR-22 :thumbsdown: and you don't own a vehicle you must purchase a non-owner policy and endorse a SR-22 on it.
