Hey guys I am doing an engine rebuild up here in st. joe on a 7bolt 4G63 turbo. The issue i am about to have, so i am shopping around is where to get the engine balanced and honed (possibly bored if need be) and hot tanked to get everything clean. Where is a decent priced reputatable place to get it done. Reason asking is I will be upgrading to wiseco pistons, eagle rods, with arp studs everywhere, new bearings, act lighten flywheel so i would like to get it all balanced good so if i want to move the redline up i can.

The machine shop we use is not open to the general public so you will have to look around to a reputable machine shop to work on your block....

Price wise they are all about the same. It all comes down to the quality of the work they put out.

I've heard nothing but good work come out of Clyde's machine shop. I do not have contact information on them though.

okay cool...hey I was wondering too..I have never had an engine balanced...But the thing i was wondering is it better to have them assemble the lower block crank,rods,pistons,flywheel...Since they are going to be doing all the machine work on it??And how much usually.I dont want to bore it unless i have then only .20 over, what it honed of course, hot tanked, everything that is envolved with rebuild a lower block

What about Leavertons or I think it's called Andersons Machine shop on the way to Savannah on the west side. I use to use both to build motors when I lived up there.
