Some from my photography class project. You had to choose a shape and photograph it 10 times 5 on campus 5 off. Me being me decided to build a three dimensional prop instead of just going around taking pictures of circles. I went for a darker feel on these.

Off of 71 you can see it off the highway. I wouldn't suggest going there unless you go with some who knows how to get in and what to avoid. A homeless person has moved in and won't let you in unless he know you.

9 shot pano, had to work quick since they were all only lit up all together for about 5 seconds. Picture looks crooked but its not, the wind was out of the south (left side) and caused them all to lean to the right.

With my upcoming vacation next week, I figured it was a good time to finally pick up a wide angle lens. I went cheap, after testing a friend's, and got the Tamron 10-24mm.

Here are a handful of the first photos I took with it on Friday... leaving KC, then getting to the Lake of the Ozarks. Overall, I'm happy with the quality. What a fun lens!

That is truly the best $200 you can spend on a lens. Its fixed focal length and doesnt have VR but its still one of my favs.

That is truly creepy. haha! j/k Awesome! Yes I do love that lens, it's simple and takes wonderful shots - at least in my opinion. I'm kind of on a tight budget - so I am trying to learn how to take nice shots without dumping a ton of money on a lens that takes better shots than I do. Also, the same applies to my camera. I figure that can take better shots than I can for some time to come as well. So, practice, practice, practice, is what I am doing!

It's just some proccessing that I kind of like for some photos. A lot of my auto stuff still gets the natural look with a little "pow" but with other stuff I've really liked experimenting with different looks.

This one is kinda ugly but it was pouring down rain and had a good 20-30mph draft and spray coming from the fall. Not the most ideal place for a camera.

I think it looks quite lovely actually. I would say just bump up the exposure just a little bit and crop it just a tad - and it will be near perfect.

Great lighting and color! :thumbsup: I would have liked to see a wee bit more angle on the shot - so we could see the side of the car a little more. But thats just being super picky and it's my opinion. However, I love this shot too :)

Lol thanks homie. The car is pretty cool. It was my great grand dads and has 74xxx original miles, and no cancer or anything. Just some surface rust. Lol which to me looks awesome.

Still a pretty strong picture. Ive found it works best with altocumulus clouds, and also looking upwards so there is more movement in it.

Holy HDR gone too far! A few fairly good photos that were just ruined by the HDR look.

And on Macy's pic be careful of the facial shadows.

I assume you are just going nuts with the shadow highlight tool or something then, whatever it is you should really tone it down. They are just WAY too over processed!

just bridge and reading a histrogram.....i tend to get bored...that top shot...it looks like poop in raw form, but the customer was super happy with it, i do agree i went a little crazy on the last shot...its an old one...i do like my photos to stand out though

I boosted them about 15 er so in Photoshop Elements, and boosted the brightness about 5. But yeah...they are really blue! I've been reading up on how to make eyes pop and such. I think I'm getting the hang of it. :D

But a lot of it is good light in the eye for all the details sake.

I just love my $95 50mm 1.8 :D

Do you happen to have a tripod? Setting it up in a darker scene is generally better than using the onboard flash, either that or turn up your ISO and shoot it hand-held. I would generally opt for lower ISO (100-400) with no flash, either using something to steady my hands or using a tripod.

c'mon now. I'm sure you can handle a Canon. I personally can't stand how the controls are setup on Nikons, but I guess I'm just used to Canon, which I'm sure is the other way around for you. Why did you sell your gear?
