i'm interested in the block, but i am kinda confused on how you got the compression numbers, a b18a1 block has the same block height as a b18c1, and your using b18c1 pistons with a b16 head, but your coming out with 10.5 compression. i thought stock usdm gsr's have 10.1 compression, with a b16 head, i thought it lowers compression by a few points, but somehow your getting 10.5 compression?

using the ls block itself with gsr pistons will raise it a lil vs a gsr block

The longer stroke of the ls crank adds to the compression and then throw on a smaller chambered head (b16) will give you a higher than gsr compression.

Don't know anything about compression ratios, very interested in the block though. Just looking for something rebuilt and reliable seeing my b18b1 has close to 250,000 on it. LOL How would a b18b head work on this block? Not looking for power or anything just want something reliable. Sorry for the lack of knowledge guys.

It will bolt right up.

gsr heads has a smaller combustion chamber than the b16 heads, and i tried both the compresion thing websites, cspeeds came out with 9.9 and the other 10.5. maybe your right but glws.
