After being closed for about 3-4 months due to a fire, the restaurant is open again this weekend! Tonight is the first night they are open for business. Its supposed to be a little more higher class than other Red Robins now; more adult friendly vs kid friendly. The bar is supposedly larger and their alcohol selection is improved. Boulevard is a sponsor so there are quite a few Boulevard beers on tap.

Everyday specials include: $10 domestic pitchers ($12 for specialty beers like Boulevard, Blue Moon, etc) plus $7 top shelf martinis.

Best news ever, I've yet to find one of these since I moved here. Gotta have that five alarm burger.

Liberty, just past I-35. It's a lot closer than that one. Just hop on 152 east, and go over I-35 just past Texas Road House on the left.

Also, 95th and Metcalf (where most of the displaced 135th St workers were) and 153rd and K-7 in Olathe. Believe there may be one in Independence too.

edit: Only the 135th St location in Overland Park and the 95th St Red Robin will have the above drink specials though. Its a brand new deal they're trying out; trying to turn Red Robin into THE place to stop after work for a good drink. My wife sent me a couple pictures of the inside, but they're on my phone. I'll add them later tomorrow sometime.

Wish I would have seen this sooner. I haven't been to Red Robin in ages.

Similar, yea. Hostess stand is different. Tables and lighting are different. They also finally joined us in 2010-2011 and upgraded to flat screen TVs.

Also, I had the sweet potato fries tonight and OM NOM NOM!

They have the best unlimited fries! om nom nom! Looks good. I guess I didn't realize how extensive the fire was, must have been pretty bad.

It wasnt too bad; stayed confined to the kitchen. However, there was a lot of smoke and water damage. So, since the restaurant was closed they decided to just gut the place and do a little renovation/upgrade.

For some reason that really annoys me when places don't have new TVs. I just think it looks trashy. Like at Cici's pizza, I always fear the giant 32+" triniton TVs are going to fall on me if I eat directly underneath them.

But I haven't been to Cicis in almost two years I'd say. Maybe they got new ones.
