There is a new hot dawg place called new york dawgs, its on shawnee msn pkwy just east of the chevrolet dealership, directly north of the auto gallery. Tried it today, they have about 12 different hot dogs, with just as many sides to choose. I went with the bulldawg with onion strings and a drink for 6.00, best damn dog I've had, the bun was slightly toasted, but damn did the chili and onions taste good. Onion strings were a 9/10. Try it out, its damn gooooood.

Wait a minute, this isn't the old place that used to be in that area is it?

There used to be a place on SMP over near the Hummer dealership, can't remember the name to save my life, but they had the BEST dogs/brats etc. ever.

It looked like an entire new operation

Thanks for trying it before me :lol2: I saw it a few days ago on my way to work and I was planning on giving it a shot in the next week or so. I'll definitely be checking it out here pretty soon.

Been multiple times, on one occasion a friend of mine bought me the Goofy dog (Peanut butter and bacon) just to show me how good it was, that was even pretty awesome.

I finally got a chance to try this place...I had the dalmation, it was sloppy and awesome! Onion strings rocked too.

I've heard Henry talk about this place, but since I'm rarely over that way anymore I haven't checked it out yet. Sounds like it should be on my 'must try' list.

Can also confirm the awesomeness of this place. I love Chicago-style dogs, and their Buttercup is one of the best I've had. The Ol' Blue (BBQ sauce, pickles and onion straws) is F-ing tasty too. Tried the Shar-Pei (Teriyaki sauce, pineapple and asian slaw), was good but didn't really blow me away.

Those willing to make the journey to Grandview might also want to try Big City Hot Dogs. I've only been once, but the two dogs I tried (the Santa Fe with guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream and the Seattle with cream cheese, mayo, dill pickle and green onions) were pretty damn good. As a bonus, they also sell Soda Vie, a line of natural sodas that's made right there in the store.
