Say it ain't so. We are putting the final touches on a couple turbo cars here at the shop and since we don't typically build turbo cars I wanted to share what we've been working on.
The first car is a 1993 Cobra. The owner plans to swap over to a forged Boss 347 motor later this year so we went with AFR 165cc heads, Comp camshaft package and a Kenne Bell supercharger at the owners request. Since the combo will get rowdy later with the new motor he opted to make the switch over to a BigStuff3 stand alone. I have never been a fan of the older none intercooled kits but he wanted to have the Kenne Bell to have a similar look to his 03 cobra. So the Kenne Bell went on and the heat pump did what it does best. It made no power and the inlet temps at idle were nearing 200 degrees. So Kenne Bell was gracious enough to take the system back and I talked to owner into going with my first choice which was a Hellion Powersystems single turbo system. With talk of doing a Boss 347 he upgraded to a ball bearing 66mm unit. This combo is going to be lethal once it's finished. With short dyno pulls to 3500 its already making 450rwtq which is block splitting torque in these older 302's :lolg:.

The next project was a new 2010 Camaro SS. This car came to us with full exhaust, k&n intake and a mail order tune making 360rwhp. After discussing his forced induction options he loved that power that is capable with the turbos and I think he liked how unique the set up would be since I told him about all the ProCharged camaro's we had done. So another call was made to Hellion and two weeks later we were looking at one hell of a twin turbo kit. The quality is second to none and everything fit exactly how it should. We'll be at the limits of the fuel system for now but should make great initial power. We will be tuning on this one this weekend.

Aside from the turbo builds we are also working on a couple new products for 2011. One being a street cog system for C5 and C6 Corvettes to cater to the market more than our current race system does. The other is our V2 drive system for the Trailblazer SS. We have had our supercharger system for these trucks for two years and have had great success with them. We've got customers running 11.50's on very simple set ups but as combinations evolve these guys are wanting more and more power. So we went back to the drawing board and we now have a dedicated drive system that allows up to a ProCharger F-1R headunit. This will be the ticket for the guys looking to make big steam without having to deal with belt slip. Here is a quick collage of how development went with this new system.
