Needs Blizzaks...

understatement of the year, this thing sucks in the snow. My Vette was 10 times better.

Color me amazed because there's a black RX8 stuck at the bottom of my cul-de-sac and he can't even get up the most gradual incline and he's on all-seasons. He's tried everything. TC on/off, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, backwards, ......nothing works. He's SOL.

Didn't I ask how you were going to get around in the snow with that thing :) What's the plan? With the power of that car, I think narrow Blizzaks are about your only option. High torque RWD cars with wide tires = frightening experience in the snow. I don't miss sliding my 94 Z28 around in the snow one bit.

And people wonder why I wasn't even going to waste my time trying to drive mine in the snow.

With full-on winter tires and a lot of weight in the back they'll move around, but other than that they aren't that good in the snow.

My next fun car will be AWD and turbocharged me'thinks. :)

I'll just drive the wife's Yukon if there is snow within a 500 mile radius of KC :)

Well all season tires aren't worth shit on these cars. He needs Blizzaks

Mine has Blizzaks, and it moves around better than most other people. But it might be that i have many years of snow driving, seeing how i am from Idaho. And it is known to snow a couple feet in a night.

Goat stayed home today. Took the wife's FJ and passed people in the unplowed lanes this morning. Was a nice slow drive into work this morning.

On my '04 GT I had Avon 550's with around 90-100lbs in the trunk and outside of the really deep stuff it'd get around just fine with it. My issue was the ice. The car was all over the fucking place on ice no matter what speed I was going. The stability control flat-out saved that car from being totalled at least two or three times. I've never driven a vehicle that scary on ice before in my life.

I didn't even bother considering it with my '04 Sport. I figured that would have ended badly. No matter, changes in financial planning forced that car to go bye-bye before the snow even hit here anyways.
