If you figure the car is worth ~$225k and that guy has 'standard' 100/300/100 coverage... is he on the hook for $125k?

I'm willing to bet the Ferarri owner has full coverage to cover the difference.

Does his insurance company go after the guy for that money though, or do they just write it off? I wonder how that impacts the 458 owner's rates...
seems like just another aspect of owning an exotic that encourages owners to leave them in the garage, lol

you insurance company will pay it then pursue the other driver, at least thats what they did when i got into a wreck before
