View Full Version : My 2000 EBP Civic SI

When I sold my Integra I knew I was going to miss that Teg, and a fun Honda all around. Then I bought a SRT-4, gosh that was a huge mistake. I didn't even drive that car more than 150miles in the 3months I had the car. So I sold it immediately after I bought it. I was searching around for a car to buy. Saw this '00 EM1 online in Texas, and 2 days later it was mine. I waited a week and half for it to arrive. It came last night at 10pm.

So here it is, a 2000 EBP Civic SI. It is completely bone stock, never wrecked. Only mods are nuespeed coilovers, and what looks like to be drag wheels. It will need very few things to make it complete. Here are the pics in the current state as it arrives. I will be cleaning it up today and will post pics when I do so.

The first thing I will be doing to the car is raising the car up, I do not want it that low. I might sell the coilovers and buy something else. Also will be getting rid of the wheels, as I do not like them. I will be removing the bra to, and selling it. Removing all the stickers to, I can't stand stickers on my cars.

Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.

Ugly wheels. Check.
Too goddamn low. Check.
Stupid stickers. Check.
Silly hood bra. Check.

I cannot disagree with a single thing that you said you are going to change sir.

Can't wait to see it all cleaned up and looking good.

Any other plans for it besides the mentioned items?

:yesnod: Truth...unfortunately. I had a 2000 EBP Si, as well.
The wheels were stolen while the car was parked in front of my apartment back in 2004.
Two months later, the car, itself, was stolen and never recovered. :nonod:

If I had one today, the first thing I would do is replace the seats and steering wheel.
I don't think Honda has ever put worse seats in an Si than they did in this one.

Thanks everyone for the comments so far. This car will be in a garage 95% of the time I will own it. Not saying that keeps everyone away, but I feel safer knowing that.

Right now, I am having troubles getting the lugs off. It didn't come with the lug key, and I can't find anything to fit it correctly yet. Any suggestions? Here is a close up pic of the lug. They are all the same.

Soak lug threads in pb blaster.

Hammer something in that hole that will fit in it tightly, and can be used with a wrench.

What Davis said with the PB Blaster and I used a large damaged screw remover... like this... it was a little pricey since it was so big.

If you're anywhere near Overland Park/Olathe you are welcome to borrow mine!

I had a few of my tuner lugs on my last Civic do that, since then, I'll never cheap out on lugs again and a little anti-seize never hurts.

Well yesterday I finally got the wheels off and cleaned up a bit better. Found out that the front sway bar endlinks were hacked off(great right). So I will be ordering new ones here this week. Will also be ordering new LCA's, and possibly new shocks and struts. And maybe a few more things. Who knows.

Finally got my car on the ground. Was waiting on Neuspeed to get my parts for my coilovers to me. I still need to make some adjustments to the coilovers, just raise it up a bit in the front and more in the rear. Drove it a bit as well, needs new brake pads and rotors. Will be replacing all 4 corners. I also bought new rear lower control arms, new lug nuts. The wheels are temp wheels till I get something a bit nicer.

Any recommendations on rotors and pads? Looking for something more performance wise.

My pics suck, I really need to learn how to use my camera. Sorry.

I'm looking at a set of the same coilovers, rates are 250/200. Do you know what yours are?Not sure on the rates, they were on the car when it showed up. Here is the part number for mine, 75.20.01. When I called neuspeed, they said they don't make this model anymore, there are still sets left though. So replacement parts were a bit hard to come by, but they made it work. I only had to get new lock collars, those were the parts that were hard to get. Also had to get new wrenches.

I haven't really done anything else performance or suspension wise since my last update. I did buy new wheels and tires. I don't know if I quite like them or not, but they will do for now. They are just some Drag DR44 with some Dunlop Direzza 205/50 tires. I have the rear pretty much where I want it, the front I think I am going to raise just a hair but not much. I also am more than likely picking up some RPF1's in a couple weeks as well.

Next I am having a CAI made, also going to have some other custom work done under the hood for looks wise, some kind of exhaust. Possibly some other suspension mods as well.

Here are some new pics: My photography skills are not that good so bear with it.

Hey all, haven't really done much with the car. Its been sitting in the garage the whole time, sad I know. But I did sell the drag wheels, as I didn't really like as much as I thought. Sooo I did pick up some Kosei K1's 15"x7", with some Toyo Proxes R888 205/50/15 tires for a deal I could not pass up in a million years.

In the next month hopefully I will have a cai and exhaust made, and buy a header. Maybe some other things, big maybe. Here are some pics.

Nothing really added performance wise like I had hoped for by now. Still going to get a CAI and exhaust one of these days. But I did have a chance to trade wheel sets. It was a trade that I could not pass up. I loved the Kosei's a lot, and will buy another set sometime soon. I traded my set of 4 Kosei's with the Toyo tires for a set of 5 Enkei RPF1's with Falken Azenis tires. The 5th wheel and tire are brand new, its my spare of course. Pics for enjoyment.

Enkeis look 10x better than the Kozeis IMO. Good find on the car!
