oil based epoxy is the only way to go... I have pics of mine up in another thread in the home improvement forum... too lazy to look right now.

A good two part will be very nice, I would say the worst part is prep though.

If you could find those pics that would be great! I'd love to see how yours turned out

Buford made a whole post on this topic as well

I'm going to stain mine and give it a slate type look. Unless the concrete in your garage is fairly new, it's my understanding that getting the paint to stick for the longterm is a bit of crap shoot even with good prep.

Not the best pics, but I still have sand/dirt on my floor right now from the last weather system that came in. Been too busy on the nice days to get it clean again.

i think this is pretty good advice. My concrete was brand new, and it was still a pain to acid wash/prep. The stain works well too, it probably will end up costing just as much to stain it w/ a good product.

go w/ an epoxy and don't look back. It will be more durable. you can also put a clear on it when you're done, but there is not a need. I believe that is was Buford did.

Don't buy a kit from Sherwin or Home depot, I got my shit from Benjamen Moore and it's a two part obviously. The two gallons were like $120 total, and it was enough to do my garage.
