are those ebay turbos actually making power??????
and i thought crome pro had a problem in the software, like in the ignition advance tables or something. last i heard there was a code that you had to enter into the software to get it to work......did john cui ever get that fixed?

Some work and many don't, I have seen one fail in a matter of 5 minutes driving and doing one pull and I have seen some last for a while. In the end from my experience Garrett Turbos and Precision Turbos have by far out lasted and performed better than anything I have seen yet.
Crome still has the issue with ignition advance, nothing you can do about it and John doesn't seemed to really want to take everything back on himself and issue one release w/o all these add-ons from other users.

is this one of the reasons why you are pushing to drive your customers to neptune, i noticed that in your neptune rtp/dealer thread...

Yeah the BW stuff is really turning some heads that's for sure, their compressor wheels are very sought after, yet thier turbine wheels leave a little to be desired.
Yeah I really feel the NepTune and NepTune RTP systems are the best bang for the buck tuning software/system for a stock honda ecu.

could this ignition advance issue with crome, lead to detonation and possibly engine failure?

most definately it can lead to that. With NepTune i have the ability to disable, and I do disable it, the ignition advance that is taking place behind the scenes with all stock honda ecu tuning programs, some have the ability to disable others don't.

im assuming crome pro doesnt have the ignition disable function? if the crome pro ignition advance issue can lead to detonation and possibly engine failure how is mkc ensuring their customers that even with the crome pro bug, that their motor will not detonate or fail?

nope no ability to turn it off, it's something that many already know and I still inform them of this issue anytime someone is interested in tuning with Crome Pro.
How can I ensure that the motor is not going to have issues with timing advance when it's something I can't control from the beginning?
I try my best to keep the timing at a conservative level in the tables, but there is only so much you can do as the background parameters of advancing timing are still taking place.
This is also why I encourage all customers to go NepTune or NepTune RTP over the other systems on the market today.

one more thing, i also noticed that MKC really does like to push the neptune system......

does mkc also push the hondata product as well? or you really feel in your own opinion that neptune is just that, "the best bang for the buck"?
i mean some customers are on a budget, and hondata could put them over budget, so i guess what im trying to get at is, does mkc work and recommend products to customers that work well and still allow them to stay within their proposed budget?

I believe the Hondata S300 and NepTune RTP are very equal to one another and as time progresses they will have pretty much the same identical features as one another. Pricing wise right now the NepTune RTP is much more reasonable than S300, will that change I'm not sure. I've tuned both systems and they compliment each other very well.
NepTune has the same features as the RTP, yet only dealers can tune these systems, which makes it above and beyond the S100 and S200 systems from Hondata when comparing features.
