a lot more information would help.

what car
what chassis

then you said you want to put the engine in and we finish it. that can be seen a lot of different ways.

at this point. we can not give you any estimates.

lol sorry i was in a rush... I have a 93 prelude... basically i would do all the nuts and bolts, and you guys do anything that needs plugged in or is electrical

Well, for preludes we typically charge 750-850 for an engine R&R + wiring from h23 to h22. If you get he engine in then wanted us to hook it up electrical + misc hoses . etc etc. We would take about 200-250 off the total swap price.

This is due to the fact sometimes people try to work on cars themselves and actually make things WORSE and it takes a lot of time to go back and finish up other people's work because you are never 100% sure where they left things.

that seems higher than i expected considering i would be doing all the manual labor and you would be plugging in wires

Its not an easy job man. Trust me.

Last year we took the motor out of my car (already a h22 swap), then put it back in. JUST in doing that, there was shit I already had fucked up. I spent TONS of money/time going from shop to shop trying to get all my shit fixed, then I found out about Chuong. He had my shit fixed and running perfect in no time. I wish I would of gone to him from the start.

My suggestion to you (unless you're looking to swap the motor for fun) is just let him do the WHOLE thing. That way its guaranteed to be done professionally, and correct.

Trust me, the 300 extra its gonna take for him to do it is WELLLLLL worth the cost. Chuongs shop is the most reasonably placed Honda shop around, hands down; you wont find a better deal.

Trust a fellow lude owner.

I find wiring much more difficult than wrenching. :lol2: Some people will get that. Have it done right the first time.

Well, if you only see how many times people say "you will just be plugging in wires" and come with vehicles that need almost everything short of dropping a engine in, you'd understand why we price it like that.

If it were truly just wiring up the vehicle, then the price would definantly be less. But even as TylerC posted and confirmed, sometimes people will try to do the work themselves (not talking down on anyone's wrenching abilities) and mess things up, we as a shop just have to prepare for the worst case.

Have it done right the first time.

This is Kansas City in case you forgot, we don't know what that means... why do it right the first time when we can have 20 cracks at it and still not do it right... makes no sense to do it right the first time.

/sarcasm.

Save yourself the headache and just take the car, engine and all other parts to Chuong, he'll have your shit done in less time and it will be right from the get go... unless of course you prefer half-assing everything.
