I am in the process of looking for a well known reputable tuner and performance shop that I can trust when It comes to EFI tuning and turbo honda/acura's. So I stumbled upon KCSR and found Revline motorsports.
Now Revline, in my eyes, is a new business. I've never done any work with you guys, so I am posting this thread to gain feedback and knowledge about how things are run at Revline. If this is the wrong spot, I apologize and asked that it be moved to the proper section.
Now I have seen some of Revline's work in person at local import face off events, but have never really dealt with you guys. If you have the time, please answer a few of my questions so I can have a better understanding on how Revline operates and how experienced you guys are in EFI tuning and automotive technology.
1. Do you guys have any experience in tuning motec engine management systems (i.e.M4 M48 M400 M600 M800 M880)?
2.What are your credentials if any( ASE Certification? Associates Degree in Auto Tech, etc. etc) Or did you guys learn by trial and error?
3. is customer service a #1 priority at Revline?
4. what can customers expect from Revline? Quality service? Helpful advice, knowledgable technicians? Tech support on certain products?
5. how many yrs of experience does Revline have in EFI tuning?
6. is Revline EFI certified?
7 has Revline ever blown up anyones motor while tuning on the dyno?
8. how does Revline handle customer complaints? Do you tell them to go away or do you actually try to help them?
9. does Revline tune for bragging rights or for reliability?
10. can Revlines dyno simulate load? If not, does Revline take the vehicle for a street tune to simulate load and or real world driving conditions?
11. where or who can I talk to to get more feedback about Revline's work?
12. What engine management systems is Revline proficient in?
13. Who is the engine builder at Revline? And how much experience does he or she have in Engine building?
14. Does Revline have any experience in tuning piggy backs such as greddy e-manage, unichip, or even the A'pexi VAFC?
15.Does Revline do any turbo or all motor domestic v8 tuning? Turbo Camaro's, Mustangs, Vette's, Trans Am, Small/Big Block Ford and Chevy's?
16.Does Revline tune anything else rather than your common honda/acura, mitsubishi vehicles?
17. How did the tuner @ Revline posess all his skills? By Reading Corky Bell Tuning Books? Ben Strader Tuning Books? Trial and Error?
18. Does Revline work with their customers and recommend good products that still allow customers to stay within their proposed budget? (if they have one)
Sorry for the 18 questions game, but this is somehwat of my standard routine when it comes to dealing with a new business.
thanks for your time, its greatly appreciated.

1. Do you guys have any experience in tuning motec engine management systems (i.e.M4 M48 M400 M600 M800 M880)?
No tuning with Motec at all.
2.What are your credentials if any( ASE Certification? Associates Degree in Auto Tech, etc. etc) Or did you guys learn by trial and error?
Personal work myself is over 10 years working at all various shops/dealerships. From valvoline oil changes, to Hunter alignment certified, to certified Lexus tech, to your mom and pop work places, I've pretty much seen most work environments. School is 2 years of auto tech through high school and every automotive class offered @ a local community college. I never got my associates because I never cared to finish up on math/english classes. Experience is learned both with on hand and trial and error.
3. is customer service a #1 priority at Revline?
We try our best to treat everyone with the best service they can get.
4. what can customers expect from Revline? Quality service? Helpful advice, knowledgable technicians? Tech support on certain products?
We are willing to give helpful advice as long as it doesn't involve people randomly calling all day to just ask questions on how to work on their own vehicles. We will not try to BS people and try to talk about things we do not know or do not understand. We are very honest and straight forward. As long as you are a true customer, we do not have problems with tech support on certain products.
5. how many yrs of experience does Revline have in EFI tuning?
Personal experience from my first turbo honda to now is about 4 years total
6. is Revline EFI certified?
Not efi certified.
7 has Revline ever blown up anyones motor while tuning on the dyno?
Yep, I've blown up my own personal car. Also have had people have mechanical problems on the dyno. (Main bearings/Rod bearings, huge mechanical failures}
8. how does Revline handle customer complaints? Do you tell them to go away or do you actually try to help them?
Every situation is different, but we are very willing to help unless someone that just can't be helped
9. does Revline tune for bragging rights or for reliability?
Both. It will depend on what the customer wants and what their intended goal is. Street cars are always tuned for reliability. Race or personal cars are pushed hard.
10. can Revlines dyno simulate load? If not, does Revline take the vehicle for a street tune to simulate load and or real world driving conditions?
non load dyno. We do take vehicles out to tune on the street
11. where or who can I talk to to get more feedback about Revline's work?
This whole message board can probably give us good feedback.
12. What engine management systems is Revline proficient in?
Hondata. Crome, Turboedit.
13. Who is the engine builder at Revline? And how much experience does
he or she have in Engine building?
We have a machinist that is not open to the public that does all our block prep work, and we build the engines ourselves in house. We have been building our engines for the past 2 years.
14. Does Revline have any experience in tuning piggy backs such as greddy e-manage, unichip, or even the A'pexi VAFC?
Have used e-manage, Unichip requires you to be a dealer, and we do not recommend v-afc tunes.
15.Does Revline do any turbo or all motor domestic v8 tuning? Turbo Camaro's, Mustangs, Vette's, Trans Am, Small/Big Block Ford and Chevy's?
We do not tune these vehicles. We specialize in honda acura vehicles and have no interest to pursue that market @ this time. We send them to shops that do specialize in it
16.Does Revline tune anything else rather than your common honda/acura, mitsubishi vehicles?
No, we mainly stick to honda/acura. We barely touch many DSMs
17. How did the tuner @ Revline posess all his skills? By Reading Corky Bell Tuning Books? Ben Strader Tuning Books? Trial and Error?
Personal experience and lots of reading
18. Does Revline work with their customers and recommend good products that still allow customers to stay within their proposed budget? (if they have one)
We have a simple approach to this. We sell and recommend products that we personally use on our cars. We are not out there to try to sell the item that gets the most markup. We sell and recommend what works for us and that's good for customers because they are not just buying into the hype.

I have been associated with Chuong and known what he stands for for many years. He has never touched my cars due to the fact that I do my own work and I dont have a Honda. But if I was in the market for a great tuner shop, Revline would be the only one I would consider.
I have called and talked to Chuong on several occasions and he has always lended a helping hand. And I have never spent a dime at his facility.

Revline has never worked on my car just for the fact that it's Mazda and they don't like them. j/k. But I've gone to them when ever I can. They are a great shop with lots of knowledge and a friendly crew. My car has been on the dyno at least.

They treated me very well, like volksmec (Yancy), I am a domestic guy but they treat me like I am one of the guys while I am there. Chuong is one of the nicest guys I've met to boot.

We really do not like them, but we do quite a bit of work on Toyotas. I personally am a Lexus certified tech and worked @ Lexus for a little bit. Then like any young dumb kid, "the grass was greener on the other side" got sick of it and wanted to switch job locations.

My first impression with Chuong was that he is very honest. He could have easily told me that my bushings needed replacing, but instead told me they are fine and I saved some money.
Bring your car in, they'll take care of it.

Great guys. Choung is always there to give the best advice about anything. I've taken my integra down there for everything including getting lowered to small things like brake problems and tires just because they're a great shop and I wouldn't take my business anywhere else. Two thumbs up for Revline Motors.

Choung has always been really cool when i've been into his shop, i've helped him offload a totalled dc5 (im sure you know the one) the first time i came down to his shop hes pretty cool about talking to you about stuff when he isn't really busy.
They installed my CF sunroof plug when most shops wouldn't touch it and it came out pretty well for the shitty installation that the manafacturer recommended.
They get a  from me

I haven't yet had the time or reason to make the trip up to KC and Revline, but my roommate did.
A few months back he wanted to get his del Sol tuned. Wichita is alot closer to us, but neither of the reputable import shops would tune the car because he was running CROME. So I told him I've read good things about Revline and he should check it out. He calls, sets up an appointment, and makes the journey (over 200 miles).
He gets there believing he has been running DSM 450cc injectors, however he was running something like 240cc injectors. Revline installed the injectors (I don't remember how much it was, but he was happy) and dyno'ed the car.
He put down 221fwhp and 200ft/lbs. with his D16 GReddy set-up, and was very pleased. He said everybody was cool and would he would definately be returning for any work he needed done in the future.
