I will be back in KC next week, and will be doing some parts shopping since they are 2-3x more expensive here. One of the parts that I was after in particular, was a GTX680 card, but they are sold out everywhere. Main reasons I chose that card is, 1. Its bad ass, 2. Low power supply requirements, and 3. The ability to do 3 monitors on 1 card. Since they are no where to be found on the market, I will be shopping for an alternative. The uses of my PC are gaming (Diablo 3, WoW, and some random FPS/shooters) so it doesnt have to be a beast of a card. I assume something in the range of the 560 to 570 nvidia would work best? I only really NEED 2 monitors, but 3 would be nice. Any advice/recommendations out there from those that have used these cards before?

TL;DR-Coming back to KC for a week, shopping for parts, GTX680 out of stock, what to get instead?

Trying to install a "B&M" shifter. I do not have the rear collar joint that the bolt goes through that holds the shifter to the linkage. Instructions call for using the rear collar joint from the OEM shifter. Problem: The shifter that I'm replacing, is one of those shitty ones that uses skateboard bearings instead of the rear collar joint.

Ordered an OEM rear collar joint from the Honda dealer, waited three days and the collar joint they ordered stuck out of the shifter on both sides and wouldn't sit flush.

I bought a brass spacer that sits flush, however it's just a tiny bit too small and I'm afraid I'll have lots of loose play.

Pretty pissed off my car has been down since Monday because of this and I need to leave town Saturday. Any suggestions? Keep in mind I'm in the middle of nowhere, no self junkyards around to go pull an OEM shifter from.

I might just have to throw the shitty shifter back in for the mean time and tackle it again while I'm in town. Anyone else ever run into this problem and have a hardware/auto parts store solution? I just don't want to kill my neck/back again to install the piece of shit gay shifter I literally just pulled out.

To get us in the spirit (not that we weren’t already), Google released the sessions list for all 3 days, and of course, the list includes a bunch of Android topics. There are least 15 Android-specific sessions going down, some of which include topics like smoothing UIs, bettering apps, a fireside chat with the Android team (always a must see), and how to market apps in Google Play.
Other topics that may come out during keynotes or throughout the week would be the first look at Jelly Bean, the newly expanded Nexus program, more Google TV products, and maybe even advanced Android at Home projects. With Google adding on a 3rd day, it should be one hell of a week.
Tickets may have sold out, but Tim and I will be on hand to bring it all to you. Also, don’t forget that Google streams most of the action live these days, so you should be able to catch most of the fun via computer.

I currently rent my loft downtown and have enjoyed it for the most part however I miss having a yard and garage. So when my lease is up I plan on moving back out to the suburbs to either rent or buy.

My questions are:

In order to get a good interest rate what type of requirments should I have to meet? Such as tenure at my job, downpayment, credit score, and anything else.

I have been looking online and I have found a few nice homes in the Liberty and far north parts of Kansas City (64156 zip code area). It seems as if I could get a 100-120 thousand list price home for roughly what I would pay for a nice 1 bedroom apartment ($700-$800 a month)

I know some of you work for banks and I am assuming a majority of you are home owners so any advice would help. My lease is up in March of 2013 and I am planning on contacting a realitor in December as I cant get out of my lease if I found a home sooner than March and I dont think anyone is going to wait to sign for 9ish months.

I posted something about this in the Dark Kight thread but thought I should put something here. check the link http://www.tumblertour.com/ its coming to Kansas city this weekend

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced the launch of a special Batman-themed "Tumbler Tour" to promote the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises.
Fans who have been eagerly awaiting the July 20th release will have an opportunity to get a firsthand look at the Tumbler and the Bat-Pod, which are rolling out on a coast-to-coast tour, sponsored by Mountain Dew and IMAX.

Both the Tumbler and the Bat-Pod have served as high-powered modes of transportation for Batman in Christopher Nolan's earlier blockbusters--with the Tumbler first appearing in Batman Begins, and the Bat-Pod being introduced in The Dark Knight. They will both be featured in different ways in Christopher Nolan's hugely anticipated finale to his Batman trilogy.
