This is an old one after a spill over the handlebars at SMP. I was going pretty quick down a rutted out deer run (the trail was poorly marked at the time) and caught a root at the wrong time. I ended up fracturing my jaw and left pinky finger. I still have a gnarly scar on my chin from the impact point. Luckily I haven't had anything like that since.

Shut up, I was like 17. It doesn't look that bad but I took a chunk off the bone. It was a pretty good one.

I took the handlebars to my cheek once with no bar ends and it tore me up pretty good once. 6 stitches No pics of that one.

wish i had pics of my various gruesome injuries. I usually tried to hide them from my parents so they would not freak. I had road rash from the top of my feet to my ear and scalp once. Ate it going down Main by Liberty Memorial... manual fail at 35mph sucks.

Back when i rode BMX quite a bit, i fractured my skull, got a concussion, cracked my sinuses, and had brain bruising. no pictures of that, it was a few years back.
all i remember was going up to a curb, then walking into the hospital puking up blood. Then, waking up 2 days later.... good times

I really wish I had the pics of my fingers after working on my track bike. I got 3 of my fingers stuck in the chainring while cranking the bike. My hand slipped on the chainstay, and caught the chain, which in return pulled my fingers through the chainring, blood spurting everywhere. It was a sight to see.

Had a little run in with a pedestrian. Muther fucker walked out from behind a car trying to cross the street in the middle of the city. Dude pretty much ruined my summer riding itinerary. Now I have 3 wires permanently installed in my left arm.

damn, is it common to have a break where you did? i always think of breaks more in the center from what i have seen.

No I was going a little over 25mph when i basically superman'd many feet in the air only to come down with all my weight on the elbow.

The doc said it is very hard to break it the way I did. Not impossible, just not very common.

Funny thing was I didn't go to the Urgent Care place for a few hours after it happened because I still had lots of movement in my arm. I just thought it was swollen really bad.
