i like it.

specs?

2011 Stumpjumper FSR

6 inches of travel..Custom Fox Triad rear shock, RockShox Revelation RL

DT Swiss wheels

SRAM Drivetrain (going bye bye...I thought I would at least give them a try. Hate it! 2x10 XTR on the way!)

Avid Elixir R hydraulic disc brakes (185mm front, 160mm rear)

That covers the important stuff. I have no idea what it weighs...Its light. I'm a specialized fanboi so I new I would end up with another stumpy. But, I did try a Trek Fuel EX 9 and a Giant Anthem. I made the right choice. They were both nice but didn't feel as "connected" to me as the stumpy does.

awesome!

i run 1x9 on my IBIS and love it.

my boss just swapped his X0 2x9 to XX 1x10 and loves it.

i say drop the granny gear and go 1x10. such a simple setup and with that 36 tooth in the rear for climbing that's all you really need.

i survived some long sustained climbs in TN with my 32x36 setup.

what SRAM is on there now? why don't you like it?

The derailleurs are actually fine (X9 rear and X7 front) Its the shifters I dont like. Im used to the XTR shifters. Maybe they will grow on me but I don't know?! I'll look into the 1x10 setup. I have heard a lot of people really like it.

1x10 with MRP G2 bashguard and you're SET! nearly IMPOSSIBLE to drop a chain.

Thats sweet! Those are the same cranks I want. I love RACEFACE! I might just have to copy your setup (different color for my bike though)!

Did you buy all of that online or do you have bike shops down there that actually carry good aftermarket parts? Thats the one thing I don't like about my lbs!

Very nice bike you have there. I would recommend the 1x9 or 10 setup. I run SS now, but am moving to 1x9 very soon, will need a new frame to do so though as I am going to go with an internal geared hub.

Have fun, be safe. Keep us updated on new parts and everything else.

I will! I have raced and rode for a long time. I sold my old FSR Pro to EA on here and regretted it everyday until I got this one. I'm looking forward to giving 1x10 a try. I'm sure I will love the weight loss and I wont miss the other two rings since I rarely use them anyway!

i'm lucky because my LBS consists of one guy who works from home and builds custom bikes. once i decided on my frame we then went down the list picking out part by part. he ordered everything for me and once it all arrived we assembled it. so, i never did see the parts before i purchased but trusted his recommendations. his pricing usually beats pricepoint/jenson etc so if you have a list of stuff you want me to have him price for you from raceface or anywhere else, just drop me a PM.

I am very new to the whole biking thing but I can say this is a sweet looking bike. I hope to be able to get something like this one day.
