View Full Version : P90X Pull-up bar ($30)

Just to be clear, this is not the 'official' P90X pull-up bar from BeachBody; It is made by ATi Design and looks absolutely identical. I bought this bar when my wife and I started P90X a little over a month ago. We put it together and went to place it above a doorway. Didn't work; the trim in our house is HUGE (~6") compared to normal houses so it wouldn't fit. Took it back apart and put it in the box. Planned to just ship it back, but just never got around to it.

Here is the description of the P90X bar off Amazon:

* Sturdy chin-up bar with heavy-gauge steel frame
* Patented design offers 12 grip positions for diverse workouts
* Strengthens and develops shoulders, arms, back, abs, and more
* Professional-grade, foam-covered handles are easy on the hands
* Supports up to 300 pounds; fits doorways up to 32 inches wide

Built for durability and comfort, the P90X chin-up bar is the ultimate fitness training tool for strengthening and developing your shoulders, back, arms, abs, and more. The P90X--which mounts easily to any doorframe to become your own personal gym--features a patented design with 12 grip positions.

As a result, you can build multiple muscle groups with a variety of exercises, with the wide-grip positions challenging your upper lats, biceps, and forearm muscles (among many), and the narrow-grip positions putting more emphasis on your lower lats.

The P90X bar is also comfortable on the hands thanks to the professional-grade, foam-covered handles, which won't cramp your hands as quickly as steel handles. And once you're done with your workout, it takes just a few minutes to safely remove the P90X and store it under a bed or in a closet. There's no better way to take your upper-body workout to the next level. Made of heavy-gauge steel that holds up to 300 pounds, the P90X fits doorways up to 32 inches wide and requires a sturdy doorframe with trim. The doorway should be a minimum of 5 inches wide and a maximum of 6.5 inches.
