Thought I would let you guys know about my bike for sale. It's also on craigslist http://kansascity.craigslist.org/bik/2112974375.html

Up for sale is my Trek 1500 that I purchased used a little over a year ago. I am the second owner and primarily used it to commute back and forth to campus, along with only a handful of light recreational rides. It is a 54cm and is in original factory form with the exception of the saddle, I had to purchase a new one when I bought it. There are a few small chips in the paint along the top tube from bike racks, the largest one is pictured, but there are no dents, dings or cracks anywhere. Asking $500

Thanks, I thought it was a pretty good asking price given the time of the year.

Oh I know, I ride my bicycle all the time to class, but it's a mountain bike and these wide ass tires kill me.

Well let me know if you want to come take a look at it. Maybe if you see it you'll want it even more.

Sure you do...it hangs on the wall nicely. I even have a wall-mounted rack i could throw in.

But in all seriousness, I have a pair of road shoes or mtn. bike shoes I would throw in if you're the same size.

Honestly I would buy this for myself for Christmas and put it under the tree myself... heck I even have the money but the sizing isn't right.

I am going to tell my friend about this though. He's looking for a 54... he said Hybrid but he might be swayed.

Awesome, just let me know! I find that Trek sizes run just a little bigger. I used to ride a 56cm Specialized and this bike fits me just the same.
