LASIK in KC reviews?
so I'm looking at three local places for getting LASIK done in the KC area based on recommendations from my wife's coworkers (OP Regional and Truman Med Center):
Durrie Discover Sabates essentially I've been told by each place that I'm a great 'candidate' for it and only need minor correction... that being said I'm hoping to get any positive/negative feedback on experiences people have had with these or others in the area. right now I'm leaning towards either Durrie or Discover (got a crappy vibe from Sabates)... the cost difference for me is 2:1 Durrie-to-Discover but if there is a benefit from the extra money, I'm willing to spend it. thanks in advance

I went to Dr Doane at Discover Vision Centers. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going to Discover. They have great service, great people, and most of all great doctors. I have had zero issues with my lasik. I also know 20+ people that have used Dr Doane and have had the same experience.

I used Dr. Durrie back in October. Was definitely pricey, but was hands down the best money I've ever spent (I've been in glasses or contacts since I was in grade school). I don't know what I could tell you to make it worth twice as much as Discover, but my experience has been outstanding.

My insurance didn't do anything, but I used HSA money I had built up.

I went to Durrie. I think they did a good job, I'm contact and issue free for over a year now at least (can't remember when I did it exactly)

i went the the lasik vision institute in OP, and saw Dr. January for mine. it was great i see 20/10 in both eyes now! i had it done about 3 years ago march and have had 0 problems.
