I agree, I hate the bumpers... I'll do something eventually, but I haven't come up with anything yet.

I don't really like Plastidip for an entire car, it just doesn't feel or look right.

Here's about what I've got in mind.

(yes, I used a video game to render my concept)

I don't know what the rules are in Kansas/Missouri...and I don't know how good you are with sheet metal or TIG welding...

But maybe remove the rear bumper altogether and lay some sheet metal right where the bumper used to reside...like make it flush, smooth and sexy.

(You know what I mean...like what S10 slammed trucks look like when they do their bumper delete).

I think that would look a lot better. And I have no idea how to attack the front bumper. I don't know...maybe grab a bumper from a 67-68 'Maro and see how much fab work would be needed/how that would look? Just an out of the box thought at this point.

I would remove impact bars on rear and move it up close and then maybe try a 68_72 front I know you can do full front end swap. I have seen a few camaro front ends put on them.

Got the motor broken in and it's ready to run.

Something went wrong. Please make sure you added the video correctly.

Version 2.0.

Last season I had a problem with air flow (chronic over-heating). While it was stripped down for an engine rebuild, I decided to get crazy with the body work. I had some 67 Camaro parts sitting around, including a dented bumper... it's a little crooked, but I don't care. What do you guys think?

fwiw: the grill is a temporary solution. I'll fab something later on.

How much do those fans flow? I'm really curious why it had issues overheating all the time.

1300 I think?

The problem was the bigass front bumper. Took it out today and it was cool as a cucumber.

Pretty badass, anything to get rid of the big 5 mph bumper.

Wow, that looks pretty cool. Seems to fit the theme of the car pretty well.

Amazing dude. Let me know if you come across any 1968-1972 Novas for sale. I've been keeping an eye out but the good ones get snatched up fast

At this point, it'd probably look better without any bumper. Buy an 81-87 c10 phantom grille and cut it down to fit inside factory headlight bezels. A friend of my dad did it on a 68 camaro and it turned out pretty good.

Like I told you at cars and coffee this weekend, this car is bad ass, love the theme and the grenade shift knob and phosphorus grenade parking brake handle top it off.
Very cool ride

realdiehl : Yeah I took the bumper off a few weeks ago, and I think it will stay that way. Chopping a c-10 grill is a great idea, I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

I appreciate the kind words guys. The car will continue to evolve for sure.
