Default My Restaurant!!

Hey old friends.
It has been a long long long time.
I thought I would reach out and use this "social resource" for a good purpose.

So the time has come.
Im in the process of opening my own restaurant!!
I wanted to reach out for some help and see what/if anything pops up!

I have a Website, LLC, Name, Concept, Some Equipment, partial Decor, completed Business plan, Staff, and EVEN A LOCATION!!! (they are willing to wait for me to secure financing)

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone had a few connections to help me move to the final stages

I still need :

1. an Attorney I can work with for ongoing counsel
2. an Accountant- to help analyze my long term financial situation and offer advice and file my company's taxes.
and the big one #3. ANY connections with banks, credit unions, loan officers or small business loans.

Any and all help would be appreciated. please PM me to discuss further.

Wish me luck!

What area are you in? Does your business plan have financial projections? With the first year being monthly and then yearly after that?

I just went through the financing hoops with a client (at my previous firm I left) for a new restaurant in Lee's Summit.

Start to finish it took a while, how long is the location willing to wait?

I can put you in touch with a couple lenders that we worked with, some are a lot better than others.

Edit: I am a CPA.

My dad got his small business loan at Morrill and Janes Bank at Woodland and k10. I am pretty sure he was having some issues finding a lender, and they ended up being the best choice. They might be worth checking out.

Good luck on your restaurant! I am looking forward to some super cool KCSR discounts so I can come stuff my face once you open up

The location I have reserved is on 39th street in midtown kc.
They are former restaurant owners and understand this takes time. I am not in need of a super large sum, which is helpful.
I would definitely appreciate it.

edit: we are in the final stages of the financial section of the business plan its been hard to guesstimate the projections for monthly/yearly but i feel confident with my current evaluations.

A kcsr discount may be in order (or an additional fee for some)

Totally understand the guess. Just make it reasonable and be able to give reasoning for each assumption.

When you are ready to talk to banks let me know and I can get you a couple names.

I'd love to help with the business lending side of things, but we need you to be established for at least 2 years.

Best of luck and can't wait to give it a try when you launch.

I would love to help, but

same here, 2 years if you want to look at anything on the commerical or retail side. Most banks will want to see 2 years of federal returns and a personal financial statement.

I represent several restaurants and nightclubs in both Kansas and Missouri. I handle their fire code issues, zoning issues, certificate of occupancy issues, parking variances, and work with the City on all permits, in addition to handling any violations they receive. Those are the things specific to getting the business open and running.

We also handle a lot of their vendor disputes, construction issues, and a number of other litigation related matters for them, as well. The only thing we really don't do for our business clients is handle any employment discrimination lawsuits. But we do form their LLC's for them, prepare any non-compete/non-solicitation agreements and handle most all other business related legal work.
