Radar Jammers....Any Suggestions or Opinions or Recommendations? - KCSR

I'm Gonna have the dealer install a Radar Jammer system on my '13 Fusion thursday. They said there are a few different kinds out there. Does anyone actually have any experience with these or have any good/bad opinions on certain ones? Do they really work? I'm looking to stay around $1,000 or less but if its close i can spend a little more.

Don't get caught. Radar jammers are illegal. Laser jammers are legal.

Whats the difference? and can you suggest a good LASER jammer i guess then? And i wasn't aware that they were illegal? So i would be looking for a good Laser jammer and a good detector like a passport to pair with it?

You can get a laser interceptor (jammer) for around $ 1,000 - it is the best option out there.

V1 for detector << $ 400.

You are going to spend $ 1400 for full protection.

The interceptor automatically turns off under 5mph, so "technically", I don't know if that would be considered illegal since it would not be on the moment you are already pulled over.

It seems like lots of cops are using instant on radar now, which there is no good defense against. You can't jam it like instant on laser, and you can't usually pick it up when a car ahead of you is shot w/ it.

Never hurts to have as many counter measures as possible, but you will never be 100% free from detection. A V1 with directional arrows can be helpful to know where a cop is shooting you from, so that's my pick for radar detectors.

Depending on your level of speeding, you have to decide if $1,000+ is a good investment or not.

Just curious.... Do you really drive that fast that you need a "Jammer" all the time?

There is no real radar jammer. For defense against radar, your best bet is a good radar detector (Valentine 1 or Passport 9500xi) and paying attention to the vehicles around you and your surroundings.

You can, however, jam laser. The best laser jammer out there is the Laser Interceptor. It runs around $1100 for the high power two-head unit.

Is laser used at all in the KC area? I don't go up that way too often, but it seems that it's always Ka.

Valentine 1 radar detector combined with Laser Interceptor, and with the Waze app, is the best solution. No radar detector can beat the Valentine 1, and yes I have tried the latest and great from Escort.

For laser jammers, Laser Interceptor completely blows away the competition.

btw, Laser Interceptor 4 head unit can be had for $800 new from Laser Interceptor USA (official distributor).

I always report stationary cops shooting radar or on side of road writing tickets.

fyi, there is a supposed working radar jammer that can be purchased from Europe. It's called Blue Raider. To date, there not much info about how effective it really is.
