Always wanted to do one of these but I tend to hear some bad reviews. Most of these for profit events are severely lacking in organization and safety efforts when those two should be most important.

Well here's a good review. I ran the Colorado Tough Mudder this year and it was amazing. Everything was great.

Thats good to hear. I didn't mean that post to single out Tough Mudder specifically just the abundance of these for profit events havent made athlete safety #1 priority.

You're in good hands with the Mudder series, the mandatory death waiver and insurance covers all the safety precautions.

Can't wait for next year.

I wanted to, but training has dropped due to life obligations. I will catch the next one. I loved doing the warrior dash, and I'm all about these now.

My gf and I plan on doing the Rugged Maniac here Oct 27th, it's a little bit cheaper than this one. It will be our first run of this kind.

I would really like to do the TM within the next year. I heard it is a real bitch, but would be fun to try.

I did the one in Snow Valley, CA. Soo much fun, I definitely have another in my future.

I did the TM in Beaver Creek CO this last June. My team is also doing the Poplar Bluff TM in October.
We are doing the Colorado TM again next year and will do the KC event.

They are a blast! Looking forward to October!

The 5k runs are nothing compared to the TMers!

Granted coming from sea level to the altitude in Vail Colorado was a jump. It was advertised at a 10.5 mile course but was almost 13. It was already cold and all the water obsticles were freezing. The artic enima locked my body up.
Luckily Poplar Bluff will be mostly mud.
