Well... Lets start it off with a bang of sorts.

Former K-State quarterback arrested in murder case

A former Kansas State University quarterback has been arrested in a Louisiana murder case.

ABC affiliate KATC reported Sunday Daniel Sams, 23, was arrested for an August 12 home invasion at a Lake Charles residence. Sams is charged with "accessory after the fact" to four counts: attempted first-degree murder, second-degree murder, armed robbery and home invasion.

Two other Lake Charles men were reported as arrested in the case August 21. Jacolby Cunnigan is the accused killer, with a bond of $1.4 million. Brandon Davis is charged with armed robbery and home invasion, with a $700,000 bond. The investigation is described as ongoing.

Dude should have just stayed at K-state and listened to what Snyder wanted him to do... now he is probably in jail for 15-20 minimum

Technically more recently a former McNeese State QB.

Kid just couldn't handle not being the star all the time. He had a lot of speed and potential skill if he would have just listened.

Ton of talent, bad head on his shoulders.

I am hoping the cats can at least make it interesting Friday at Stanford. I think Stanford has one of, if not the best player in the country in Christian McCaffrey.

I honestly doubt he was involved. The one that was murdered was a teammate and a good friend from what I have seen.

Who knows what will happen on Friday night. I'm sure the Cats will cover the spread. Wouldn't be surprised if they won either.

Honestly, I don't have a clue if they will or not. The whole team is going to have to show up. I know we have a "different" starter after dismal QB play last year. The D and special teams are going to have to more than hold their own. Containment of McCaffrey is going to be critical. Stanford tends to play smash-mouth, in the trench football, but if that guy hits open field, he is gone.

KSU is gonna be meh, Ertz will probably have a career ending injury and we're fucked with Huebner again. Bill retires, Sean takes over because we can't not let him try, right?

KSU football is probably going to be down until the AD gets replaced and we spend money on a good coach.

Not at all imo.

They could lose the game to USC, drop to 4-5. Then win every game from there on and be back to 1 or 2 by the time they play LSU, lose that game and drop to 5 or 6 then win their last 3 games and be back to 3 or 4.

Why? Because ESecPN and Alabama.

No other team could do it though.

I knew we'd lose. But there were so many opportunities and they just blew it. Typical KSU.

2 obvious pass interference calls on Stanford in the end zone in 2nd half and just now not called.

Blatant Pass Interference on Holder on Stanford 2 different times, poor officiating.

make that a 3rd time just now in end zone. Even the announcers have pointed it out that the officials are doing really poor today. (big 12 crew)

I'm not upset with how we did as I wasn't sure how well we'd do but I feel like our defense did a pretty good job. I'm exited for the rest of the season. Hopefully we can get something going at the QB position.

defense played well at times, run defense gave up those 2 big plays that killed them.
