I was always surprised by a lot of reactions when people found out I'd ride. Almost disgust because they thought it was dumb because it was so dangerous.

Zero of them had ever ridden. It's just not for everyone. But there's nothing like a high speed sweeper or grabbing a fistful of throttle.

About the greatest feeling on Earth is racing a mustang and adding insult to injury by whoolieing past him.

While many, many riders go down in normal circumstances its easy to see that a lot of riders create dangerous situations for themselves. Like the origin of this post its really hard to feel sorry for them.

If it was the older guy on the cruiser, he was riding responsibly when he passed me but the sport bike guy was hauling ass in tight traffic. I couldn't see the bike when I passed and couldn't tell if he hit a car/car hit him but the person was conscious and bleeding profusely.

Never met too many of the cruiser/harley crowd who really care for most of the sport bike guys. I have friends who go to the cassoday sundays and the bikes blues and bbq meet in eureka springs ar, and they say they dont have too many of the stunting sportbike groups you see running around kc or wichita, and those that do show up usually act more like or hang around the adventure touring/enduro riders. The guys I get tired of are the ones you see here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_0D8eT8NHU
Every time I go to kc I see big groups of these guys, even in wichita theyre pretty common. If they wanna hang out and cruise feel free, if they want to street race, find an isolated, low traffic industrial area to do so like the rest of us. But when theyre blazing down the freeway doing a wheelie, sparking their skidplate, banging their rev limiter through a red light, or using the sidewalk and someones open backyard and driveway to run from the cops, or bouncing their front wheel off the trunklid of a cop car, it just seems like a suicide stunt to me and something that should be a lot more low exposure than it currently is, dont endanger anyone but yourself. I dont care how long anyone has ridden, the laws of physics wont show mercy or suffer fools as I witnessed last friday night.
