Fuck this team is in a tailspin. Our starting pitching is a huge part of this though.

Yup. Luckily it's at the beginning of the season and not the end. Our defense is horrible at the moment.

yeah, when you're putting up 7 runs and losing, that is simply on the pitching and errors. Damn we are having too many errors.

Doesn't look like it will get better anytime soon with 2 starting pitchers going on the 15 day DL

Brought him up when they put Moose on the DL with a torn ACL. He's an outfielder with some power.

He definitely looks and plays major league. The look on his face when he was bathatized by salvy! $507,500 a year! Not a bad payday for a new guy.

watched the replay of the game, freaking awesome!

One of the best comebacks I have ever watched. It wasn't flashy with big home runs, it was like Royals games. Hitting, steals, base running, etc

With how poorly we played for a couple weeks this is a nice turnaround for us. Hopefully they can keep the momentum for a bit and Yost is smart enough to keep playing Merrifield over Infante.

Not sure if they will win another game. They are playing terrible right now. Pitching, hitting, defense, everything.

They are so damn streaky right now....and so are our fans. Geez.

Loving what Whit has done in his first 20+ games. Looking absolutely great and might be our solution at second base the way Zobrist was last year.

Was hearing some chatter about "the future" and what to do when our core guys are up for contract negotiations. Wanted to put my thoughts down somewhere to see what pans out in the end.

My opinion is that we have replacements for moose, Cain, Escy and infante. We do not however, have a replacement for Hosmer at first.

Resign Hosmer for whatever he wants and make him a lifetime Royal. Him, salvy and Gordon should end up in the Royals HoF.

Release Escy and replace him with Mondessi JR with Colon as the backup infielder.

Attempt to sign Cain and Moose to team friendly deals and be prepared to walk if they won't do it. Cuthbert goes to 3B as the everyday, Merrifield at 2B and we have multiple outfielders that can move up in the next year or so.

We have a ton of depth in the infield except at 1B, and the outfield. Go out and get starting pitching and a RF that can hit.

Jorge Bonifacio is supposed to be the heir apparent in RF and he's playing pretty well. You also have Eibner who should get a legit shot when he returns.

Isn't Bubba Starling supposed to be another legit outfielder in the next 1 - 3 years? I wonder how he is progressing.

Like shit. He's playing mediocre in AA ball.

Yeah. Every time he takes a step forward he takes at least one backward. Most of his tools are major league ready except for that all important hit tool.

Orlando is doing well. But it is so great to see Cuthbert, Merrifield and Eibner really doing well. Gives a lot to hope for in the coming years!

Yep. Lots of talent in the outfield. Great to see because honestly if we do lock up Cain and get one of them to settle in RF then we might have some great trade bait to upgrade the pitching.

Our biggest holes are RF and starting pitching, but Orlando, Fuentes and Eibner are all there. Kind of sucks too because I like all the guys we have but I see some leaving before the deadline.

Bigger question is what are we doing with Infante?

Just cut him entirely? Or is there someone that might want him and we could work out a trade to cut down on our financial obligation to him.

Fuentes could be trade bait also. Made some decent appearances and now back to AAA where he was doing pretty good. Could be a starter for some teams.
