The 90's expansion teams killed jordans legacy imo, where as kareem had to play against an influx of talent from the aba merger.

I still think Jordan is better but LeBron is easily in the top 5 but its really hard to compare eras, the game has changed a lot.
Exactly. You take James off the Cavs and they arent even a playoff team, mayyyybe an 8 seed that gets swept by the Celtics but James makes them an instant finals team.

The year Jordan took off the Bulls still were a 3 seed and lost in the second round in game 7. There is no way Cleveland does that without James.

Just look at Miami and Cleveland in 14 and 15. Miami went from NBA Finals to 10th in the east. Cleveland went from 10th in the east to NBA Finals.

I think James is the best all around athlete the NBA has ever seen. I think Jordan is the greatest player the NBA has ever seen but for more reasons than just on the court play. I feel he was a better ambassador for the game. IMO they are 1a and 1b and interchangeable depending what aspect of the game you are talking about.

P.S. not even the 96 Bulls are beating this Warriors team in a best of 7. They are an all star starting five all on their own and then they have depth as well.

Stay tuned, I've go a feeling there is a good shot at seeing this matchup again next year.
Im curious to see if Lebron stays in Cleveland. I dont think they can put the pieces around him that they need.

He might take a stab at the west just to see if he can do the same thing he did in Cleveland and Miami.

Huh?

Which starting three on this Warriors team is better than the starting three of the Bulls?

I realize guys like us that are ten years apart have very different perspectives, but that's BS to say they have the upper hand there.

What three are you putting on Jordan, Rodman, and Pippen that makes you think they have a chance?

I realize it's not a three on three game, but even taking the rosters all the way out it's still a stretch to say the Warriors have it hands down.

96 Bulls would take them In 7.

Although a few sports books made odds just for giggles and the Bulls were +300, which I think is insane.

Cavs shooting insane, made 20 threes through 3 quarters but this is a horrendously officiated game for what is supposed to be a top tier ref crew

Jordan/Curry
Pippen/Durant
Green/Rodman
Harper/Thompson

Jordan wins his matchup prompting ZaZa or Iggy to help doubl team, Pippen and Durant are an even and great matchup, Green and Rodman get double T'd out of every game and Thompson drains 3 after 3 after 3 over Harper.

Im not a warriors fan. Id actually like to see Lebron win another just to show that stacking a team isnt the only way to win, but that doesnt mean im going to ignore how deep and amazingly talented on both sides of the ball this Warriors team is.

Irving was drafted and Love was traded? Lebron came back to his home team during free agency. This isnt the Miami Heat ya know.

who's gonna stop cap? dude was 36 and still put up 30/12 against 3 hall of famers. nobody but rodman could check worthy on the block, but he's too busy fouling out gaurding kareem. ron harper gonna slow down magic? you think toni kukoc is gonna go off on michael cooper(dpoy in 87). gtfo. showtime avg'd 110 ppg against the legend. mike sold some shoes though, so you're probably right.

The competition speaks for itself. The 90s NBA was brutal, literally. Nobody shuts down MJ, not even on a double. Kukoc might be the most underrated offensive player in the NBA during that time. Pippen? As a second option? Sure, I'll take it. Between Pippen and Rodman, there's easily enough to go around to stop Kareem.

What? 90's brutal? It was Much, much weaker than the 80's. Jordan was guarded by 1 legit defender in his 6 chips, and got fucked up. No way a team in the soft ass 90's was gonna run with showtime.

Shaq would have killed Kareem and Wilt.

Your post above a few back says a lot. I get it, you've had this argument a lot. That doesn't mean you are correct, though.

Take a look at the Politics section and read some of DIY's posts if you need an example.

Your center argument at least holds a bit more water than your take on the '96 bulls vs the world/Jordan.

go fire up your league pass and go watch some older ball, it's pretty awsome.

fwiw, that same shaq that would "kill" wilt is the same shaq that beat jordan. just sayin.

I'm not sure I'm following the shaq beat Jordan. There were great centers in the 90s. Shaq, Olajuwon , Robinson, Ewing.

The Bulls handles magic just fine in the 91 finals.
