Did it end up hurting the engine? Or was the misfire something else??

Pulled a spark plug and it looks like one of the pistons impacted the plug. Put a new plug in and itís fine, but Iím not happy with the current power level and in order to do what I want it to itís time to spend some monies.

Plus that issue will arise again unless I turn it down, and thatís just not an option

Turned up I was probably close to 500tq and low-mid 4XX hp wise. Him and I are both turning the cars up more, except he's doing a build. I'm just adding the rest of the bolt on's and having JB4 build me new firmware for what I'll have in spring.

They are still sorting out torque limiters and ECU issues limiting my power at the top. As long as I sound like a Jet and get peoples heads to turn like "wtf" its a win/win for me, since its a "kia" lolol

I'm just mad JW will be turned up so much that it won't be close anymore

Brometheus, that Kia is already no joke.

Once you got into boost it caught up to and walked past a 400whp/385wtq Mustang with 410 gears....and that was your mid-boost setting. If you can get that thing to cut a 1.7 60' time you'll run mid to high 11s all day long on the setting you turned it up to when we ran on the spray.

I can't wait to see it next year turned up even more

The good ol hazard light show after a win haha.

Crazy you are already building the motor. I thought those 5.0's could handle quite a bit of power stock. Looks like 750 crank. https://www.americanmuscle.com/s550-...er-limits.html

Yup. I want closer to 750whp.

And the hazards were on from when we pulled over to allow traffic to pass by. I'm not a ricer

I see it now, you had the hazards on the entire time. Looks like a good place to run cars. You got to do runs with the top down when the weather gets good

Much easier to get parts if I did that, most of mine have to come from AUS.

Only a handful of cars will have the aftermarket options that my turd does, but there is still good news!

You can achieve World's Tallest Midget status as long as you become the World's Fastest Kia.

Well, after much debate and back and forth the deal is done and the money is spent. Mild build being done on the engine and I dropped off $7500 to prepay for the parts today.

I bought the On3 single turbo kit today too and it ships next week.

Keeping the nitrous on the car as well. We'll see how it all comes together, but the nitrous will either be on a window switch for the hole shot until boost comes on, as an insurance policy on the top end, or both.

Should be ~850whp on high boost and no spray. I figure that should put a smile on my face

It was amazing at 520/550 with the top down. I can only imagine how much fun it will be once boosted

It's pretty crazy how well those Coyotes respond to boost. Just think of all the bodies you'll be able to rack up w/ 850hp

Go fast parts, very nice!

Crazy how you can get a very low mileage GT 13-14 for around $25k or less all day. Get a turbo kit, supporting mods and a clutch and be in around $35k and have like 700whp or more. Prefer the autos in those Mustangs over the chinese built MT82. But you won't have as much fun.

Yup. You can go that route for sure and get all the way to ~700whp with just a BAP.

I'm pulling out most of the stops on this one. The car was a low-ish mileage for right at 25K. But as I keep adding onto the total build we're talking 20K between engine, turbo kit, fuel system, clutch, misc. supporting mods, and labor. I don't plan on really tracking it, or shooting for an ET so I'm hoping to at least get one season out of that MT82

I could have cheaped out on the engine piece but I'd be kicking myself if two months into running the turbo the engine crapped out.

With my luck it still will anyway

A least I can say I did it right from the get go and hired the right people to do the work, so we'll see....
