Default Picked up a new streetbike

As soon as they announced the Z900RS, I knew I'd get one at one point. The pricing came out higher than I hoped, so I held off. Noticed a local dealer had it priced at a point closer to what I was hoping when it was announced, and they made me a good offer on the Speed Triple towards it, so I bit the bullet.

My dad still has his root beer/orange '73 Z1 that this bike is a tribute to, so I was emotionally attached from the get go. Overall, it's a much more comfortable riding position and is super smooth and easy to ride. Much nicer around town than the Speedy, but not bad on the highway either. Excited to get some more miles on it and do the initial oil change so I can hammer down on it some.

Kick ass!

I like them a lot, but I never ride my bike since I moved back to the city.

Agreed on best looking retro, especially with my attachment to the original Z1. I think Triumph has done their retro stuff very right, but they lack power. This Z900RS makes great power and isn't overdone looks-wise.

The speedy was fun, but it was not nearly as street mannered and I didn't really push it hard often enough to enjoy the Ohlins goodies of giant Brembo monoblocks. As soon as I rode home on the Z900RS I knew I made the right decision.

I'm lucky enough to have a 2.8 mile commute on a quiet city street now, so I should ride it often when it isn't 10000° down here.
