![]() Are there any good detectors besides the Valentine One and the top of the line Escorts? What are they using most around this area? Laser or is KA still the most widely used?

![]() I bought my Escort X50 used 3+ years ago for $200 and the thing has paid for itself at least 3 times by now.

![]() I bought my V1 used for right around $200 and it has more than paid for itself. I've owned it for nearly 6yrs now. I rarely use it anymore though, only on road trips. Worth the money for that reason alone though!

![]() I'm really thinking about buying this V1 on ebay, just not sure if it would be a good idea or not.

![]() I've been using the same Beltronics 955 for around 6 years now. Saved my ass countless times. Love it.

![]() I like the V1
The arrows are awesome to figure out what's going on and where to expect the cop to be. The LED system of showing the band is annoying... My Escort would flash Ka or K or LASER on the readout panel, so it made it easy to tell. I still haven't exactly gotten the hang of the V1 to remember which LED is which in the line of 3 at night when you can't read the painted on lable next to it. |

![]() The one I am looking at is Version 1.7. Would it be worth the savings to get this used or not? I heard version 1.7 doesn't have POP detection on it.

![]() At WOT w/ the window down or cracked it's hard to hear anything, so differentiating between them is tough. If I'm just cruising it's not that difficult to tell what's what, but then I'm also not going as fast where it's as important to slow down.

I guess I never factored that in. LOL. Yeah, it might be a little hard to hear over the sound of your engine.

![]() Pretty much 99% of the time they are doing stationary speed enforcement they are using lidar (laser) which unless you have a jammer, you're screwed. If they are rolling with K or Ka on rarely will they flip a bitch and pull you, unless you are going more than 10 over. I liked my x50, but here in OP, it's obsolete.
