Default bought another inline 6 today

not a bike guy, but after hearing these things i had to have one. it's a 1982 cbx 1000 with 35k miles and in very nice shape. came out in 1978 and has all kinds of wild tech for the period, 6 carbs, rear air suspension, clutched alternator, and honest to goodness vented dual front discs. currently has a 6 in to 2 exhaust. already ordered a dg 6-1 exhaust:

Something went wrong. Please make sure you added the video correctly.

Craziest part is the timing chain is in the middle of the engine and it has 4 cams. I really just want to take it apart lol.

Timing chain in the middle is pretty standard. 4 cams though, that's pretty neat.

If (when?) you take it apart, you better make a thread about it!

That reminds me, I need to start a thread and post a bunch of pictures of my XS650 hardtail build

I used to work with a guy that had one, but it wasn't that clean. Definitely a unique bike, yours looks amazing.

Wow, such a cool bike. I've seen/heard one in person with a fully open exhaust and the sounds it makes is just nuts. Almost sounds F1 car-ish.

It's such a great sound. From 4 to 6k rpm it sounds almost identical to my rb26.
