Considering the topic of this thread, I will refrain from trolling you due to the fact that I sincerely don't want to run off a new member that is actually contributing around here.

I will take the time to give you a little tour.

AAG is known as the place to troll/flame/joke around/etc. on this forum. If you are going to be super stuffy, this section might not be to your liking.

Also, keep in mind the fact that many of us have relationships both on the board and in real life. You might see two bros telling each other to eat a dick in one thread, and not realize they were just sitting at a bar swilling beers together the past weekend.

Politics section has kinda become AAG2.0 of late, but the other sub-sections should be reasonably low-key with the negative and trolling back and forth.

Welcome

Welcome
LOL I will roll with the punches, so to speak.

Thanks for the welcome, unfortunately the only living parts of this furm anymore seem to be politics and the AAG subsections..

kills is about as dead as an old west town. and bike tech is pretty much the same.

I would say "what happened", but I pretty much already know the answer, we all got old.

that and speeding, exhibition of speed, and racing tickets don't look too good on the driving record for insurance cost purposes. thanks for the welcome and

I am just thankful that KCSR is still around. I still remains one of my "go to" spots for commentary and discussion on news, local, national and international as well as interesting articles and stories.

I don't mind the give and take as well as occasional drama, as I find it both entertaining and informative to see what other people think and how they view the same topic in oftentimes highly varying ways. I also enjoy seeing the success and different life paths people have taken to find their definition of happiness. I have learned a lot both by mistakes made by others and the different choices they have made to get where they are. I may disagree with some completely on different social and political issues but can still admire them for the lives they have built. We have all come a long way from parking lot meets and late night/early morning rips around the city on highways.

I hope KCSR can evolve and change as it must and is around for a long time to come. Reading here has certainly become a habit and ritual over the years. I would certainly miss it, if it were gone some day.

KCSR itself, has became nothing more than assholes, new members come in (some get greeted well) most come in make a post and get get bashed to hell. Now old members know that has always been a trend of kcsr.

The over whelming selections of forums and choosing which one to post, without getting told "WRONG SECTION POST MOVED" it gives off the vibe of wtf why post if its just going to get me bitched at.

Its a great website, and honestly could regain its popularity, but it will have to come with a new generation of people. Lots of the users now are middle aged, have families, and have grown up alot but that does not mean no one can have fun.
to save my typing.. I agree.

The million sections thing happened when KCSR was already losing traffic and only helped kill it.

For starters, reduce to only these sections:

General Forums:
-AAG
-Electronics/gaming/tech
-Sports
-Guns

Classifieds could probably go away altogether, but if it must remain, reduce to:

-Cars for sale/wanted
-parts for sale/wanted
-other for sale

Automotive forums could be reduced to:

-Automotive lounge/news
-Videos/builds/photos

When someone's lurking or new they'll see about 26 sub forums that haven't had a new post in a year or more, and promptly leave.

I migh add an "entertainment" section, but this looks like a good start.
