15 New ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Images Tease New Combos, Grave Stakes, and Teen Groot

Marvel Studios and Disney offered a brand new look at the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War during the Super Bowl, showcasing the star-studded sequel, and we’ve pulled some images of note from the new footage. The film hails from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who shot Infinity War back to back with the untitled Avengers 4 as one massive saga that concludes the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe that preceded it.
The story finds the Big Bad Thanos (Josh Brolin) finally coming to Earth to wage his war against the Marvel superheroes with the help of his Black Order, necessitating every single Marvel superhero to work together to prevent Thanos from collecting Infinity Stones (which will grant him infinite power) and laying waste to humanity as we know it.
This new spot mainly showcased some unique team ups that we haven’t seen before. There’s Tom Holland’s Peter Parker joining forces with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), there’s Thor (Chris Hemsworth) hanging with the Guardians of the Galaxy, and there’s Captain America (Chris Evans) lookin’ fierce with Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Vision (Paul Bettany), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). This movie’s gonna be fun.
Check out the new Avengers: Infinity War images below. Scripted by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Captain America: Civil War), the film opens May 4th, and also stars Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Paul Rudd, and Tom Hiddleston.

Here’s the official synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War:
An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Infinity War Trailer Confirms Thor’s New Weapon Theory

WARNING: This article contains potential SPOILERS for Avengers: Infinity War
It looks like the theory of Thor’s new weapon in The Avengers: Infinity War can finally be confirmed. That’s thanks to the latest Infinity War Super Bowl spot, clocking in at a lower runtime than a typical trailer, but still revealing enough new footage to get Avengers fans talking. The first look at Iron Man’s new sci-fi armor made headlines, and the same goes for Captain America’s TWO new shields. But the footage seems to have set the mystery of Thor’s new weapon to rest – as well as revealing the Guardians of the Galaxy who will help him create it. Rocket is never going to shut up about this job.
The shots of Thor with his brand new eyepatch may not seem to reveal much, but for fans who’ve been trying to lock his Infinity War role into place, this may be the final piece of the puzzle. Common sense and comic book lore said that Thor would of course need a new weapon, and tie-in toy sets revealed more than Marvel may have liked. Now, the footage of the movie itself can be used to confirm the leading theory.

Goodbye Mjolnir, Hello Jarnbjorn – the ‘Wrecker of Worlds.’
The Theory of Thor’s New Infinity War Weapon

From the moment Mjolnir was destroyed by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, fans have been spinning theories on how the weapon could be returned to Thor. Or, for those fond of the Ultimate comics or Thor’s rich Marvel history, which other Asgardian weapon could take its place. Early concept art for Infinity War showed the then-most-popular style of Thor wielding an axe-like weapon alongside Rocket Raccoon, leading to a more focused speculation. The frontrunners became the Ultimate Mjolnir – the weapon used in Marvel’s alternate universe, upon which the films were stylistically based – and Jarnbjorn, the massive axe wielded by Thor when he was “unworthy” of Mjolnir.
Since then, little evidence surfaced to tilt the scales in any one direction… or even could, since its creation in the film would almost certainly be a twist worth concealing. But you can’t keep a secret like Thor’s new weapon for long, which meant even Chris Hemsworth teased a new Thor weapon without giving specifics. He also stated the obvious, conceding that the most devoted comic fans would be able to see the weapon coming before it made its official debut. And as mysterious shots in Infinity War trailers showed Thor on a mission of his own, the speculation narrowed still.
Until a toy set for Infinity War seemed to reveal the weapon in question.
Infinity War LEGO Leaked Thor’s Biggest Scene

The Infinity War set of LEGO toys seemed to suggest that the earlier concept art – Thor with new weapon in hand, Rocket at his side – was far more literal than assumed. The collection included Thor (with short hair and his new costume), Rocket Raccoon, and Groot. The set-piece accompanying included a small spaceship, which explained the trailer shot of Thor standing in front of a window layout not yet seen on the Guardians’ Milano (embedded above). The set also included another mysterious object… that seemed to be the large, circular apparatus Thor strapped himself into in the Infinity War trailer – before the bright lights and his screaming kicked in.
Knowledge of the Marvel Comics source material gave a solid hint on exactly what machine Thor was using with some solar assistance, but the biggest bombshell of the LEGO set was much smaller. Much less interesting to look at, too, composed of a simple wooden shaft and large, metal axe head. A weapon that seemed to suggest Thor would find Jarnbjorn in Infinity War thanks to some help from Rocket and Groot. And, as many (ourselves included) assumed, he would operate a massive, Dwarven solar forge to create it.
Of course, tie-in toy sets have been misleading or over-the-top before. But thanks to the Super Bowl spot for Infinity War, it looks like those toys show exactly what adventure Thor will go on in the movie.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: Close-Up Look At Thor's Stormbreaker Weapon Reveals A Surprising Twist

New promo art and a toy replica of Thor's Avengers: Infinity War weapon and it turns out that there's a lot more to the Stormbreaker than we initially realised. Hit the jump for the spoilery details.

We've known for a while now that Thor is getting a new weapon in Avengers: Infinity War but we still haven't had more than a blurry look at it. Well, that's finally changed and the Stormbreaker looks seriously awesome! If that name sounds familiar, it's because Beta Ray Bill's hammer had that same name and this version is once again a cross between a hammer and axe just like in the comic books.

What's really interesting about this, though, is that it's now clear those rumours about the handle being made from Groot wood were accurate. The sentient tree will, of course, join Thor alongside Rocket Raccoon when the God of Thunder travels to Nidavellir to track down a new weapon.

It's also worth noting that Thor has both eyes here. The question is, will he somehow regain his eye in Avengers: Infinity War or is Marvel just ditching the eye patch for promotional material? It's hard to say for sure but we'll obviously find out when the movie is released this coming May. Thoughts?

Click on the button below for an even clearer look at Thor's Stormbreaker weapon!

Avengers: Infinity War’s Hulkbuster Pilot Identity Confirmed

On the heels of Monday’s leak, and following months of speculation, it’s at last been confirmed who’s wearing the Hulkbuster armor in Avengers: Infinity War — thanks to a LEGO set.

A low-resolution image of the package for “The Hulkbuster Smash-Up” strongly implied that Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner pilots the metal behemoth, as his mini-figure isn’t part of the action depicted on the front of the box. That certainly lines up with the most popular theory that’s circulated since the debut of the first trailer for Infinity War. However, the arrival of new images from LEGO ahead of this weekend’s New York Toy Fair erase any doubts about the pilot’s identity.
The back of the packaging for “The Hulkbuster Smash-Up” shows the Banner mini-figure springing from within the armor to join in the fight for an Infinity Stone. Each of the Infinity War LEGO sets comes with its own Infinity Stone, so we may not want to take that aspect of the scene too literally.

Avengers: Infinity War “The Hulkbuster Smash-Up” LEGO Set

The Infinity War LEGO sets also include “Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown,” “Thanos: Ultimate Battle,” “Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack,” “Thor’s Weapon Quest” and “Outrider Dropship Attack.”

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ LEGO Sets May Reveal Some Potential Spoilers

As we get closer to the release of Avengers: Infinity War in May, more and more details about the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel will come to light. Thanks to the extensive merchandise coming to shelves in the months leading up to the release of the film, these kind of revelations are unavoidable, but we’ll do our best to keep any major spoilers hidden for those who don’t want to be spoiled.
The official Avengers Infinity War LEGO sets have been revealed, and many of them highlight key actions sequels from the Marvel sequel. In fact, a few of them may spoil a few surprises in store for the movie. So if you don’t want to possibly ruin some key moments in Avengers: Infinity War, you may not want to read any further. You’ve been warned!

Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown

We saw a glimpse of this sequence in the first Infinity War trailer, albeit without the presence of Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw, members of Thanos’ Black Order. But we’ve seen Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Bruce Banner and Wong in the street in front the Sanctum Santorum with a bunch of debris around them, presumably around the same time that Peter Parker sees that giant portal in the sky.
If this LEGO set is accurate, there may be a big battle between these Avengers and a couple of Thanos’ adoptive children in front of Doctor Strange’s stronghold. The question is whether or not Spider-Man makes it over there, especially in his Iron Spider suit. After all, we’ve seen him in his normal Spidey suit in a couple shots from the Super Bowl spot for Infinity War, so maybe he’s only included in this set because he didn’t fit in any of the other ones.
Furthermore, will the Iron Spider outfit have those extra golden limbs reaching out from the suit as they did when the Tony Stark-created suit debuted in the comics?

Thor’s Weapon Quest

Since Mjolnir was destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok, the god of thunder is going to need a new weapon. It appears the quest that Thor goes on with the Guardians of the Galaxy (or at least Rocket and Groot) is to forge a new weapon. In this case, it looks like it might be the axe Jarnbjorn that Thor wielded for a time in the Marvel comics after he was deemed unworthy to wield Mjolnir. And shots from the Infinity War trailer only support that theory.
In the trailer, we see Thor exerting all his strength as bright light shines on him. We know that Mjjolnir was forged in the heart of a dying star, but the Marvel Comics origin of the weapon gives us more detail. Mjolnir was created by three of the best dwarf smiths, and they harnessed the power of the sun’s rays in the creation of the weapon. It would stand to reason that Jarnbjorn would need to be created in a similar fashion, and that appears to be what Thor is doing here.
Something else to note is there have been rumblings that the handle of Thor’s new weapon might be created by using a piece of Groot’s arm. Perhaps that’s why the minifigure of the tree creature is stretched out with a longer branch. Groot is always willing to lend a hand to help his friends.

Outrider Drop Ship Attack

This is the smallest of the Avengers: Infinity War LEGO sets revealed, but it features what might be a key moment in the movie. As you can see, Captain America and Black Widow are charging at some of the alien enemies we see swarming in the final moments of the Infinity War trailer. Those multi-limbed black aliens are called Outriders, and it looks like they have some ships that bring them down to the surface of Earth.
The battle between the Outriders and the Avengers happens in Wakanda, which makes us think that one of the remaining Infinity Stones that we haven’t seen in any of the other Marvel movies yet must be in safekeeping in Black Panther’s home. After all, Captain America and one of the Outriders are both running towards one of the stones, but that might not actually happen in the movie. We’ll explain why a bit later in this post.

The Hulkbuster Smash-Up

Fans were excited to see the return of the Hulkbuster armor that debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and it looks like the armor gets a bit of an upgrade here. Furthermore, it looks like the armor isn’t being controlled by Tony Stark this time. As you can see, this Hulkbuster LEGO set comes with Bruce Banner, and on the back of the box, he’s the one leaping out from the chest of the giant armor suit. That seems to imply that Banner will be inside Hulkbuster this time instead of being on the receiving end of its punches.
If you go back and look at the Infinity War trailer, you’ll notice a shot where Banner is standing next to the arm of the Hulkbuster armor, so it’s pretty likely that he’ll be inside that armor. We might finally get to see the rumored scene that was cut from Avengers: Age of Ultron where Banner would have hulked out from inside of the Hulkbuster suit to surprise Ultron. At the very least, we know he gets big, green and mean later in the battle because he’s charging at the Outriders with the rest of the Avengers in one of the coolest moments from the Infinity War trailer.

Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack

It looks like Wakanda will really have its hands full with the arrival of all these aliens. And this LEGO set further supports the theory that Wakanda is currently holding on to one of the Infinity Stones, which is why all these Outriders land in the African nation. Corvus Glaive (one of the members of Thanos’ Black Order) is also there and it looks like he has some kind of giant weapon meant to cut through the walls that are presumably protecting whatever facility contains the Infinity Stone.
Black Panther and Shuri are obviously at this battle because this is their homeland, but Vision is there too. We’re not sure if Vision is actually in this battle though, because he’s not seen in the line-up of Avengers charging into battle in the trailer. Actually, neither is Scarlet Witch. Maybe they arrive late to the battle.

Thanos: Ultimate Battle

You’ll notice that with all the action happening at Wakanda, there’s no sign of Iron Man. So what’s he up to? Well, it appears he’s trying to take on Thanos himself, but he may not be alone. It looks like Star-Lord and Gamora are attempting to help him stop Thanos, possibly from getting his hands on another Infinity Stone. That would explain why Rocket and Groot are the only ones with Thor as he forges his new weapon, though we’re still wondering where Drax the Destroyer is.
We’re pretty sure this is towards the end of the movie, but we can’t be sure. However, it’s likely that Doctor Strange and Spider-Man are also in this sequence, because footage that was shown at Disney’s D23 and Comic-Con featured Strange and Star-Lord working together in a big action sequence on some kind of otherworldly desert setting. Plus, there was also a shot of Tony Stark tending to Peter Parker after he’s been injured in battle, and that was also on the same location. Could we be looking at the demise of one of these heroes?

What’s Up With All the Infinity Stones?

You might have noticed that almost every one of these LEGO sets comes with its own Infinity Stone (the one of Thor’s weapon quest is the only one that doesn’t). That doesn’t mean that each of those moments in the movie features that Infinity Stone, but LEGO just wanted to spread them out so that fans had to buy all the LEGO sets if they wanted to fill up the Infinity Gauntlet with all the stones. But one of the Wakanda sequences likely has an Infinity Stone, but not three different stones, as these LEGO sets would have you believe. And the Thanos battle sequence may also have another one, but that’s just speculation on our part.
***
There’s plenty more to learn about Infinity War in the coming months, but hopefully toys like this won’t spoil everything from the movie. Marvel has done a good job of holding back some of the bigger secrets in each of their movies, and that will surely be the case with a movie like Infinity War, especially when it comes to setting up what’s to come in Avengers 4.
Here’s the official synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War:
An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - Awesome New Promo Art Revealed Via A Tonne Of Official Merchandise

A whole bunch of Avengers: Infinity War promo art has been unearthed thanks to some official tie-in merchandise. Some we have seen before, but there are new looks at The Black Order, Hulk, Spidey & More...

We've come across lots of new promotional/marketing artwork for Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War (via Weeping Angel) over at a site called myntra.com, where a whole bunch of t-shirts and backpacks are on sale.

The images include classic takes on Earth's Mightiest Heroes from the first two movies, as well as the new Infinity War designs. Of course, it's the latter we're most interested in!

Some of this character art was recently revealed on this promo poster, but there is some new stuff in there too, including previously unseen depictions of The Hulk, Iron Spider, Black Widow, members of The Black Order, and much more.

To view the reactions all at once, simply click on the VIEW LIST (ONE PAGE) button below!

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - Kevin Fegie Teases Some Familiar Voices For Thanos' Generals

Just like in the comics, The Black Order are the generals of Thanos' army but in the MCU, they're also the Mad Titan's adopted children and the often mentioned siblings of Gamora and Nebula.

In a recent interview with Vulture, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige covered a number of topics but perhaps most interesting was his tease of the actors that will be providing the voices behind The Black Order- Thanos' generals and adopted children who are set to make their MCU debut in Avengers: Infinity War.

While Feige declined to reveal any specific names, he did cryptically state, "There are interesting people doing the voices, You’ll probably know when you see the movie." Clearly, Marvel has already signed actors for the roles.

With a looming May release date, expect Marvel to announce who's voicing Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian aka Black Dwarf and Corvus Glaive sooner rather than later.

More AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Promo Art Gives Us A Much Better Look At Thanos In His Full Armor

More Avengers: Infinity War promo art has found its way online, and this time we get a full body shot of The Mad Titan, fully suited-up in his golden armor. We also have some sticker/colouring book covers.

An action figure recently gave us an idea of how Thanos would look once he fully suits-up in Avengers: Infinity War, and now we have an artist's depiction of The Mad Titan sporting the same golden armor.

There was a bit of a mixed reaction to Thanos showing up without his helmet in the first Infinity War trailer, with most agreeing that he looks a lot better with that giant dome covered up!

The promo image was revealed via a new Infinity War Hot Wheels set, but thanks to Vk.com we also have new looks at some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes courtesy of several tie-in colouring/sticker and mask books.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: Hot Toys' Iron Man Figure Provides A Detailed Look At The Armor's New Capabilities

Hot Toys has revealed its upcoming figure based on Iron Man's appearance in Avengers: Infinity War and it provides a detailed new look at Tony Stark's upgraded armour and the amazing weapons he'll wield.

Avengers: Infinity War is going to feature updated looks for a lot of our favourite heroes, including Iron Man. We've known for a while that Tony Stark will be rocking a brand new suit of armour in the highly anticipated movie and now Hot Toys has unveiled an action figure giving us a detailed look both at its many capabilities and the various changes which have been made to the hero's appearance here.

The figure features an interchangeable helmeted head with metallic red, gold and silver colored armor painting and a newly painted head sculpt with striking likeness, LED light-up functions scattered throughout the armor, a variety of Iron Man’s latest weapons including interchangeable LED light-up Nano Repulsor Cannon, Hand Cannon on left arm, a pair of attachable Nano Boosters on the back, and a specially designed figure stand with the movie's logo. So, that confirms nanotechnology then!

To check out this full gallery of images, all you need to do is click on either one of the buttons below. Once you've done that, be sure to head to the comments section to let us know your thoughts.

Iron Man has always had some very cool weapons but he's upped his firepower in a serious way here. As you can see, it appears as if this suit will be able to actually generate weapons out of thin air!

Assuming the suit can create new weapons via nanotechnology or something similar, that's a big step forward for Tony Stark and ensures he'll have enough firepower to do battle with Thanos.

Here's a crazy theory for you; what if Tony Stark loses his arm in Avengers: Infinity War? While this massive weapon could form around his hand, it could also be a replacement for a missing limb!

There's a classic Iron Man pose for you! It's safe to assume that we'll see a fair few of these when the movie is released, albeit in some unexpected locations away from the likes of New York City!

You might think that arm theory is a little far-fetched but bear in mind that it's become a trope in Phase 3 for a character to lose an arm and it would certainly up the stakes for that to be Tony Stark.

The question is, how will Iron Man lose a limb? Well, it's probably going to be when he does battle with Thanos, something we've seen in the trailers when the hero squares off with the powerful alien.

Thanos tearing Iron Man's arm off would make for a memorable visual and instantly establishes the Mad Titan as a very real threat who is going to have a lasting impact on Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Going back to that cannon for a second, it looks extremely powerful and it clearly charged with the same energy from Iron Man's repulsor blasts. The question is, just how much damage will it do?

Chances are, it's something Iron Man believes will be able to deliver a killing blow to Thanos but he'll no doubt quickly learn that's not the case. Then again, perhaps it's cosmically powered somehow!

The other weapon on Tony's new armour doesn't look quite so powerful but will no doubt come in handy when he's doing battle with whatever aliens are loyal to Thanos aside from the Outriders.

Well, if you were worrying that Iron Man would only be decked out with futuristic new tech, don't fret, because his classic repulsors can quite clearly still be seen here and will be used at some point.

Minus all the fancy new additions, Iron Man's armour looks very similar to what it has in the past, albeit a little more futuristic. Still, this is a big step forward from his Spider-Man: Homecoming suit.

Will there be a story explanation for Iron Man's new suit? The most likely one for that is Tony Stark knowing that a threat is coming from outer space and having to up his game in a major way.

Where has Iron Man got the technology to create this upgraded armour? Well, it's possible that he's using Chitauri tech or even some of the stuff Ultron came up with but we'll have to wait and see.

It's interesting that this armour sports battle damage and no matter how technologically advanced it is, it's clearly still just a suit which can be damaged and destroyed when he heads into action.

What's the deal with those wings on Iron Man's back? In the past, Tony has used the repulsors in his feet to take flight but perhaps those will allow him to fly in outer space and in extreme conditions.

Sure, there's no sign of the wings here but I still can't help but wonder what importance they're going to have. If Iron Man is going to fly through space, that's going to make for one incredible visual.

Here, we see Iron Man taking aim with both weapons and he looks pretty damn cool. Of course, there's nothing to say that this will happen in the movie but there's a good chance it probably will.

The prevailing theory is that this new suit will be contained within Tony's arc reactor and while there's no evidence here to support that, chances are it's accurate as it definitely looks pretty powerful.

Here, Iron Man can be seen squaring off with Thanos. His Hot Toys action figure hasn't been revealed yet but it will no doubt be online soon and will hopefully shed more light on his appearance.

That's a great likeness to Robert Downey Jr.! The detail here is extraordinary and regardless of whether or not you're interested in laying down money for this figure, you have to admire the design!

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: Thor's Hot Toys Action Figure Reveals Stormbreaker, A Cape, And Rocket And Groot

Thanks to this Hot Toys action figure, we now know that Thor will have two very different looks in Avengers: Infinity War, while it also provides a closer look at his new cape and the Stormbreaker weapon!

Avengers: Infinity War is a movie which will inevitably leave a lot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's heroes changed forever, regardless of whether that's in terms of appearance or where they'll be once this tale ends. In the case of Thor, he's clearly going to be going through some major alterations, something which is evident from this amazing new action figure showing off the God of Thunder.

Thor is getting a new costume, a new weapon, and new allies in the form of Rocket and Groot. Oh, and let's not forget the fact that the hero is also going to have a very cool looking red and black cape!

The Thor collectible figure features a newly developed head sculpt with specially applied luminous reflective effect on the eye that accentuates Thor using his thunder power, a newly developed muscular body with two pairs of interchangeable arms, intricately detailed body armor with LED light up circle plates and lightning effect accessories, a detachable red-colored cape, detail recreation of Thor’s new weapon Stormbreaker, and a specially designed figure stand with the movie's logo.

To check out this full gallery of images, all you need to do is click on either one of the buttons below. Once you've done that, be sure to head to the comments section to let us know your thoughts.

What an electrifying picture to start with (sorry). At the end of Thor: Ragnarok, the God of Thunder was more powerful than ever before and this awesome shot shows him unleashing the Odin Force.

There it is! We've seen the Strombreaker in various forms but this action figure finally provides a detailed look at the amazing weapon and its handle which is reportedly made from Groot wood.

Joining Thor are Rocket and the adolescent verison of Groot. Those two will presumably be released as a double pack and the latter's rifle looks very cool. Why is he using that instead of his powers?

The King is back! In The Avengers, Thor called down lightning and his arms were subsequently covered in armour and it looks like that will also be the case in this movie (oh, and his cape is back too).

There's been a lot of speculation that Thor will somehow regain his eye in this movie but that would actually be something of a shame, especially as it undoes one of Thor: Ragnarok's biggest shocks.

What a badass cape! Red on the outside and black on the inside, it's fair to say that this might be Thor's best look yet and when you throw in the lightning effects, he's clearly ready for action.

When Thor does get this fancy new armour and cape, will his eye return at the same time? That seems the most likely option unless Rocket manages to make him one (or Groot still has it fron Vol. 2).

This is the suit Thor was decked out in right at the end of Thor: Ragnarok when he and Loki were discussing returning to Earth before being confronted by Thanos' massive spaceship, Sanctuary II.

Is it a coincidence that they crossed paths with the Mad Titan on the way home or did Loki summon him there to try and strike a bargain with the Tesseract? That's something we'll find out in April.

Whatever the answer may be, we know that Thor winds up floating through outer space before being discovered by the Guardians of the Galaxy and teaming up with new allies Rocket and Groot.

The Stormbreaker is a badass looking weapon and can clearly be used as both an axe and a hammer. That will liven up the God of Thunder's fighting style in a big way when he goes to war with Thanos.

Rocket has wielded a lot of big guns in the past but this may be his largest weapon yet. He's clearly hoping to do serious damage to Thanos as is Groot going by his stern looking expression.

Thor's short hair is clearly going to be a permanent change for the foreseeable future and it's a result of Chris Hemsworth becoming exasperated with wearing an uncomfortable wig during filming.

What will Thor be getting up to in Avengers: Infinity War? Well, we know he's found by the Guardians after being taken out by Thanos and then heads off on a mission with Rocket and Groot.

From there, they'll be travelling to Nidavellir, the home of the dwarves. That's where Mjolnir was forged and where the God of Thunder will be looking for a new weapon to help take on Thanos.

What comes next isn't clear but he'll presumably join up with The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy to do battle with Thanos in the final act, something which we know literally nothing about!

Mjolnir was iconic but Stormbreaker? Now that's what you call a badass weapon! The handle being made of Groot wood is a nice touch and gives the sentient tree an aimportant part to play here.

How powerful is Groot wood, though, and will the youngster have to sacrifice himself to provide the handle? That seems doubtful but it's hard to escape the feeling that this will be a very big moment.

The likeness to Chris Hemsworth here is staggering and Hot Toys has clearly outdone itself with this effort. Simply put, this is going to look downright awesome on the shelf of any toy collector!

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: New Images And Video Provide A Detailed Look At The Infinity Gauntlet

Hot Toys has unveiled its amazing life-size replica of the Infinity Gauntlet from Avengers: Infinity War and if you're at all curious about the weapon, you'll want to check out this video and the images.

Avengers: Infinity War will finally unleash the full extent of the powerful Infinity Gauntlet when Earth's Mightiest Heroes team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to square off with the Mad Titan, Thanos.

Hot Toys is releasing a life-size replica of the Gauntlet and some new images and a video provide a detailed look at the weapon. Needless to say, it looks amazing and this will be a must-have for fans.

This remarkable and realistic polystone-made life-size collectible stands approximately 68cm tall, and it features all authentic and minute details of Infinity Gauntlet. It is equipped with LED light-up function with two lighting modes which include light-on effect and breathing light effect for the six mighty Infinity Stones, phenomenal multi-layered metallic painting with weathering effects highlights its incredible aesthetics, and a specially designed custom base with the Avengers: Infinity War logo.

To check out this full gallery of images, all you need to do is click on either one of the buttons below. Once you've done that, be sure to head to the comments section to let us know your thoughts.

Well, that's impressive! The Infinity Gauntlet made its big screen debut in Thor and later showed up again in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, it will be here that we get to finally see it in action!

Whether or not the Mad Titan is going to get his hands on every single Infinity Stone in this movie remains to be seen but it would make sense rather than stretching his hunt across this and Avengers 4.

When Thanos comes into possession of the completed Infinity Gauntlet, he'll be damn near unstoppable and how The Avengers and Guardians of the Guardians are going to deal with that isn't clear.

This is one of the best props Marvel Studios has created to date and Hot Toys' take on it is seriously impressive. The Stones, in particular, all look very colourful and no doubt extremely powerful.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Promo Posters Provide An Awesome New Look At Thanos And His Black Order

Two promo posters for Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War have found their way online, and they give us some cool new looks at Thanos, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, Gamora, and several other characters...

Yesterday, we found out that Avengers: Infinity War will now be released worldwide on April 27, and that means we should be getting a final trailer and a theatrical one-sheet for the Marvel flick very soon indeed.

In the meantime, though, we have another couple of very cool promo posters for you guys to take a look at.

The first one celebrates the bad guys, and features Thanos and his Black Order: Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight and Ebony Maw. We also get another glimpse of that four-armed Outrider that was recently revealed on some marketing art.

The Mad Titan also looms large on the second poster, but this time he's joined by some of the heroes that'll be attempting to take him down in the film.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Character Promo Banners Reveal New Details On Cap, Black Widow, Thanos And More

Another batch of Avengers: Infinity War promo art has been shared online, and while not every character image is new, we do get some intriguing new details about them via the accompanying breakdowns...

While we await that highly anticipated final trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, we have some more promo art in the form of the following character posters.

The banners spotlight Captain America, Thanos, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, and Iron Spider.

We have seen a few of these poses in previously released artwork, but some of the accompanying breakdowns do give us a better idea of what to expect from these latest incarnations of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and The Mad Titan in the film.

To view the images all at once, simply click on the VIEW LIST (ONE PAGE) button below!

Captain America

Chris Evans' Steve Rogers will be a very different man when we catch up with him in Infinity War, as this description confirms.

Though Rogers may not officially adopt the Nomad moniker in the movie, it seems clear that he has been operating as a vigilante between the events of Civil War and this latest adventure.

What will ultimately prompt Captain America to rejoin his old teammates to put a stop to Thanos and his forces?

Thanos

Speaking of Josh Brolin's Mad Titan, we get a new look at the villain here along with some details that give us a better insight into his plan.

Thanos mentions "balancing the universe" during his voice-over in the first trailer, and we now have confirmation that he'll be "consumed with saving the universe from itself" in Infinity War.

The big question is, will he be taking on this apocalyptic mission in an attempt to impress a certain lady?

Thor

The God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth), once again pictured without the eye-patch he picked up towards the end of Thor: Ragnarok.

Thor will most likely be spending a decent chunk of Infinity War with The Guardians of The Galaxy, as he sets out to acquire a powerful new weapon with the help of Groot and Rocket.

Will his Stormbreaker be enough to challenge the might of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet?

Hulk

Fans have been a bit disappointed that The Hulk hasn't been featured as much as some of the other heroes in the promotion for Infinity War, but we have another look at the big fella here.

Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) was reluctant to transform in Thor: Ragnarok in case he wound up stuck as The Green Goliath for good, but it sounds like he's is going to have to fully embrace the power of "the other guy" if he has any chance of stopping The Mad Titan.

Black Widow

Another look at Natasha Romanov (Scarlett Johansson) sporting an upgraded outfit, weapon, and hairdo.

Like Captain America, it seems the Black Widow went rogue after everything that occurred in Civil War and will only reemerge to aid The Avengers in the battle against Thanos.

Will Nat find time to rekindle the romance with Banner that was teased in Age of Ultron while saving the world?

Iron Spider

Finally, we have Tom Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man sporting his new Iron Spider costume. No sign of those extra appendages here, though.

Despite the name being used for marketing purposes, we're still not sure if Parker will actually be referred to as Iron Spider in Infinity War or not. Whatever mantle he settles on, Spidey will be very glad to have Tony Stark's upgrades at his disposal once the invasion gets underway.

Just these six for now, but hopefully we'll have some more characters to share very soon. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters worldwide on April 27.

Captain America's Secret Avengers Confirmed for 'Avengers: Infinity War'

Marvel fans who have been speculating heavily about the events and twists of Avengers: Infinity War can now move at least one theory over to the "fact" column: The film will introduce the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Captain America's "Secret Avengers" from the comics:
We just posted these Avengers: Infinity War character bios, which were taken from Toys R Us promotional materials for the upcoming line of Infinity War tie-in merchandise. As you can see above, the Captain Americabio comes with a pretty choice line that fans are instantly zeroing in on:

"...the Super-Soldier has remained under the radar while continuing to do what he believes is right - saving the world one clandestine mission at a time."
It's hard to look at that description an not see how it correlates to the "Secret Avengers" era from the comics, right? The description also has an interesting secondary effect, creating potential pockets of storytelling that can be re-visited later, to fill in what the "Secret Avengers" squad did to save the world in the time period between Civil War and Infinity War. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, that kind of narrative maneuverability will be important.

For those who don't know: in Marvel Comics, the Secret Avengers were a 2010s version of the team run by Steve Rogers, following the collapse of Norman Osborn's "Dark Reign" regime. Rather than continue Osborn's H.A.M.M.E.R. organization or bring back S.H.I.E.L.D., Rogers made his squad of Avengers the government's top covert ops squad, handling the sort of missions that the main Avengers could never do as public figures.
Of course, as many fans have already pointed out, this version of Secret Avengers is also shaded by influence from Captain America's Nomad days, when the hero abandoned his Cap mantle after being disillusioned by the realization that the Secret Empire had infiltrated and corrupted the US government. That led Cap to fight evil in more underground fashion, until the return of Red Skull made him step back into the Captain America mantle.

Right now, many expect Chris Evans' Captain America to die or be retired by the events of Infinity War, but if it's the latter case, then rumors of Red Skull possibly returning in Infinity War could lead the MCU to follow comic book history, as Steve Rogers (or his successor) would be needed to once again have Captain America oppose the Skull's evil.
Are you excited for Nomad Cap and his Secret Avengers in Infinity War? Think Cap will survive? Let us know in the comments! And be sure to read these full Avengers: Infinity War character bios for more details!

New Look at the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Iron Spider Armor Reveals a New Feature

We caught glimpses of Spider-Man’s Iron Spider suit at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming and in the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. Now a new image provides us with a new look at the Infinity War Iron Spider armor in all its glory, including a feature that originally appears in the Civil War comics. See it below.

It’s clear that Avengers: Infinity War is going to pack a ton of stuff into its runtime. There are reportedly 76 characters populating the highly-anticipated Marvel film, and one of those characters is, of course, Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man. After being forced to remain on the sidelines for the bulk of the MCU films, Spider-Man finally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Captain America: Civil War, thanks to a deal between Marvel Studios and Sony.
Spidey got his own MCU film with Spider-Man: Homecoming, which teased – among other things – the Iron Spider armor at the very end. We caught another quick glimpse of the suit in the Avengers: Infinity War trailer. Now a new toy design provides us with the clearest look at the Iron Spider costume yet.

Infinity War Iron Spider Armor

The big reveal here is the presence of the mechanical arms jutting out of the suit. I consulted the experts, aka the Marvel fandom wiki, to get to the bottom of what these devices are. They’re called “Waldoes”, and here’s their backstory:
The Iron Spider Armor possessed three mechanical spider-arms, or “waldoes,” created from rapidly grown mono-atomic iron alloy crystal. These could be used to see around corners (via cameras in the tips) and to manipulate objects indirectly. When in the stowed position, the arms remain within the gold “circle” on Spider-Man’s back. These arms are rapidly grown at the rate of 90 inches per second, Hollow construction allows for all material to be stored within the small back-mounted pack, and the command for growth is achieved via fast neural net-detection and amplification. The waldoes even have small grippers at the tips working as pseudo fingers.
The wiki also provides a brief summary of the Iron Spider armor in general:
Fabricated with advanced protein-scale nano-technology and exotic materials handling, LEP skin display, impact sensing armor integrated life support ant all-spectrum communications powered by a hybrid opto-electronic computer and using super conducting, high performance plastic throughout, the Iron Spider Costume is truly one of Stark’s greatest works (and Peter’s most functional costume).
Of course, it’s worth noting that these are descriptions plucked from the comics. The Infinity War Iron Spider armor might change things a bit, but the general principle is still the same. I’m sure there’s all sorts of tricks and gadgets that shoot out of that Iron Spider suit like a Swiss Army Knife, and it seems we’ll get to see even more of them when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters April 27, 2018.

Team Cap Readies for Battle in New 'Avengers: Infinity War' Photo

Thanos is bringing war to the people of Earth and Steve Rogers and his team of pseudo Avengers are ready to stand up to the evil.
While we're still waiting on an official poster for the Avengers: Infinity War, along with a full-length trailer, we've finally got a new image to stare at in the mean time. Total film has released a brand new photo from Infinity Waronline, featuring the Captain Americabranch of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

In the photo, which you can see below, Team Cap readies for battle against Thanos and his galactic hordes. This is clearly a different shot from the scene that has been shown in the trailers, where the group is standing together, preparing to charge into the fight.
(Photo: Marvel Studios) Of course, Captain America (Chris Evans) is front and center, complete with his brand new beard. From everything we've seen so far, it's quite possible he could take on the "Nomad" moniker before all is said and done.

To Cap's right (our left) stand the two greatest warriors in all of Wakanda, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Okoye (Danai Gurira). Of course, since this entire scene takes place in the nation of Wakanda, most of T'Challa's army is standing behind the heroes.
Finally, on Cap's left stand his two most trusted allies, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). Those who saw Black Panther will know that Bucky has been in Wakanda for quite a while at this point, as he was sent there after the events of Captain America: Civil Warfor Shuri (Letitia Wright) to help fix the control mechanism in his brain.

This is only a handful of Avengers that will take on Thanos in Infinity War. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will be leading a group in New York City, where one of the Black Order's ships has appeared. Joining that fight will be Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), and several others.
Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters on April 27. The movie was originally slated for release on May 4 in North America, but Disney made a last minute switch to release the film globally on the same day.

Avengers: Infinity War Gets 18 Illustrated Character Posters

Marvel is continuing to ramp up the excitement for Avengers: Infinity War with the release of 18 new illustrated character posters. With the release of Infinity War less than 2 months away, Marvel Studios has been teasing fans with a steady stream of marketing for the film, starting with the 30-second Super Bowl teaser in early February, followed by the reveal of several product tie-ins, which in some cases included character bios and descriptions of their motivations.
Adding to the excitement was the reveal by Disney and Marvel Studios last week that the film moved up its release date a full week from May 4 to April 27, which no doubt prompted them to put their collective marketing foot a little heavier on the gas to release marketing material at a faster pace. On Tuesday, Marvel focused on members of the Avengers – or at least some of them – with a smattering of new character posters.

All 18 illustrated character posters are featured together here, and include such Avengers as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Black Widow, as well as Doctor Strange, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Bucky, Iron Spider, War Machine and Falcon. Also highlighted are six Guardians of the Galaxy members, including Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Mantis and Groot. The posters have a wonderful retro vibe to them, and are almost reminiscent of the trippy, luminescent artwork for Thor: Ragnarok.

The interesting thing about the new character poster set is there are notable absences among the ranks. Nowhere to be found are character posters of fellow superheroes like Black Panther, Hawkeye, Ant-Man or Nebula, or for that matter, posters of such villains as Thanos or Loki. In all likelihood, posters of those characters are on the way, and probably because Disney and Marvel didn’t want to inflict sensory overload on the fan base by dropping all of the images at once. After all, Infinity War is expected to include as many as 76 characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including up to 40 Marvel superheroes.
With a Black Panther character poster surely on the way, it will be interesting to see how much more emphasis Disney and Marvel will place on the promotion of Chadwick Boseman’s character, as well as other Wakandans who will appear in Infinity War. At least from the indications in previous teaser footage, Black Panther’s homeland is clearly a setting for part of the action in Infinity War, so hopefully the film’s promotional campaign will acknowledge Wakanda’s contribution to the narrative – especially given the immense response to Black Panther worldwide.
