He had a 26 yard run on a 4th and 5 and got them to the 1 yard line, leading to a td run for their other qb. But you're right, he did nothing.

If you're basing your post on that then

It would have been something had it led to them beating the Huskers.

Well the game was tied until a shit luck play, so to say it didn't impact the game is just retarded.

We can add arkansas and iowa state to that list also. So we have 4 likely bottom feeders in both conferences. Now lets look at the teams that are good, but not likely national title contenders. In the big 12 we have, west virginia, tcu, oklahoma state, kansas state, and baylor. At this point the only title contender in the big 12 looks like oklahoma. Now lets look at the good but not title contenders in the sec, Mississippi, south carolina, mississippi state, Missouri, Florida, and georgia. Now we have the teams that could possibly compete for a national title, Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&m and Lsu.

Lets compare the bottom teams, both conferences have between 3 and 4 teams in that category. The middle tier teams, big 12 has roughly 5, as where the sec has roughly 6. Now lets look at the top level of both conferences. The big 12 has one team, as where the sec has 3-4 teams that look like they can compete for a national title. It is pretty clear that the sec is overall the stronger football conference this year. You can show me your formula for percentages as you say, but it seems that pretty much every major sport expert out there agree's. In fact they agree that the big 12 is in 3rd or 4th place behind the pac, and big10. I don't really like rankings, one could also argue 4 teams in the top ten vs 2 , 8 in the top 25 vs, 3 .
How do you even consider South Carolina a good team? They got their ass kicked and haven't show much promise since.

Alabama hardly had a convincing win against one of the traditionally weaker big 12 teams, but they are a title contender? That would imply the top half of the big 12 likely is too. They are propped up in the polls because of their name, not because of anything they have done or shown this year. Baylor has shown more promise than Bama.

You consider Florida good, but they were shit last year and haven't done too much to prove otherwise yet. I think they have looked better in one game against a shit opponent, but that isn't horribly hard. Until they do, I would put them somewhere around the level of Texas Tech.

When we get into the meat of it, we will see how it pans out, but I would argue that a 1 loss Big 12 team is more impressive than a 1 loss SEC team as the big 12 has to play a higher caliber of team week in and week out.

However, when they play Vandy, Kentucky, Miss ST and get high praise for winning those games like they just ran through SEC teams that mattered. That's why you can't compare the two conferences. If the Big 12 still had 2 divisions and they could have 3 or 4 teams that didn't play the other top teams, they'd also have more "higher rated" teams.

This is the first year in many many years that I can say: If Bama runs the tables they should be a lock for a championship attempt. They finally play ranked teams that don't appear to be overrated. It appears they have a pretty tough schedule this year and not just playing teams that get ranked for the one week that Bama plays them to boost their wins.

As a whole conference, SEC is a better conference. Meaning they do have more good teams. They also have more bad teams but because they have more teams, that's the nature of the beast. I think OU would be a top 2 team in that conference, just like they are in the Big 12.

It doesn't help the SEC when WVU gives the SEC's big name a big run for their money.

and yes, nebraska got lucky and it's going to be a long season i'm afraid, which sucks because they have one of the premier backs in the country.
The SEC has fewer bad teams than 10 team Big 12.

I'm going to call BS on this. Have you seen the Big 12 play this year? Probably 5/10 teams fall in the "bad" category vs even just mediocre.

I was being facetious. Saying that his one big play on offense didnt keep nebraska from scoring. No reason they should have had to score in the final minute to beat that team but it wasn't a tie game because Sams blew up and scored 4 times to keep it close. Their defense kept them in that game.

It was a shit luck play. If he was so great why were they struggling to pull it off in the last 30 seconds?

We will see how the season plays out, but it falls to the schedule in the SEC. You could make it through and look good with one or two losses, which may be your only two real tough opponents. You could also get stuck playing one of the toughest schedules in the country.

As stated before, nobody has a very good resume built up yet, but seeing how Alabama played against WVU, that makes me question how good they really are. I think they are decent, but not a #2 team in the country. Probably closer to a #2 or #3 in the SEC - if that. South Carolina hasn't done anything but beat a team they should have and got their ass whipped. Florida still needs to prove something after last years face plant.

That's not to say there are not good teams too. Georgia, aTm, and Auburn appear to the be the front runners (in my opinion). It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Auburn comes in and roughs up Kstate. Kstate has a decent offense, but not much of a defense this year (at least so far). It also wouldn't surprise me to see Kstate win.

I will be the first to admit that there is a lot of football left to be played, but I think that the SEC as a whole gets far too much credit at the moment. Hell, I hate Oregon, but they are the most proven team out there.

Don't forget about LSU. Agreed on Oregon.

Let's wait on K-States offense. Scored fewer points than NDSU did.

Meh, Kstate and ISU is always close regardless of how good or bad the teams are. The last 6 games have been decided by a touchdown or less. At least KSU has been on the winning end of all of them.

Did you see the offensive stats for WVU? Holy shit.

Also another LOL @ overhyping teams. ECU is about to take down VT after VT took down Ohio St. VT must be amazing though with how had they sucked Ohio St's dick.

Ohio State shouldn't be ranked but they'll stay in because they thrashed mighty Kent State.

Another game, another 4 TD performance for Mauk. Not so hot on yardage this game. 12 TD passes this year so far.

And as long as SC doesn't get blown out then they will move up since Georgia is soooo mighty according to pre season rankings. If they happen to win then SC moves way up and UGA barely drops. Can't have the SEC losing too many ranks in the polls that aren't supposed to matter but ultimately will.
