This vehicle has sold. Asking/Offering Price: 900 obo
Email Address/Phone Number (optional): Prefer PM's. Zip Code: 66030 Pics: see below Name: Don Item Description: wrecked Neon For auto listings these are also required in addition to the fields above. Year: 2001 Make: Plymouth Model: Neon Base Mileage: 90,128 Title Status: Clear, coming to me in mail from Topeka Color Exterior/Interior: White/Blue Transmission: Automatic Drivetrain: Front wheel drive Hey, I have owned this car for about a month. It was involved in an accident, but I thought if you had the space, time, skill, and want, you could own this thing and part it out at your leisure. Yes, it's a run of the mill Neon with absolutely no frills. It probably will not ever be straight again, being that the B pillar is smashed into the passenger seat, and had pushed that seat to the center console. It was T boned at an intersection by a car doing about 25-35 mph. Right in the center of the passenger side. If you want to have a look and see the damage firsthand, PM me, and I will set up a time to meet. No, it isn't pretty, fast, or anything like that. It belonged to my mother in law before me, and I spent some time getting it to clean status before the wreck. All of the glass is intact, and the mileage is low considering the year. I have Michelin Arctic Alpin snow tires on the front in 14" and a couple of odd tires on the rear. Tread is okay. I had recently put new spark plugs, wires, pcv, and a seafoam treatment into it. My father in law put a cone filter in it, and it fits in the stock airbox. Fact is, it runs, drives, and has a full tank of gas. Interior is sticky due to the fact that my son, who was driving it had a 44 oz. sprite when he got it T boned. It's all over the place. So interior is a mess. Car smells like an old lady too. okay, Pics. Tape is applied to keep moisture, and critters out. Yes, it's pretty bad, but no one was hurt, and I have no space to take this thing apart. It can be driven, but I wouldn't advise it for any long distance. But hey, that's up to you. (tried to follow the template as best as I can.)Last edited by fsb; 2012-12-06 at 11:28 AM.. The passenger side front tire has a leak. So, that too.

![]() This must of been right after the accident correct? Because I live in Gardner and that's a busy area to park a car and take a picture. I am somewhat interested in it.... Does the car drive straight? Suspension/transmission all good? |

I won't lie, it looks a little lifted on the passenger side rear. I have driven it to a body shop, and I can say that at least at 15-30 mph, it does drive straight. But I wont say about higher speeds. Yeah, the suspension is compromised, and it will need a frame pull, I was going to have the transmission fluid changed, but this has happened. The starter is a little noisy upon starting, and it has squeaky drum brakes when cold. Not the Belle of the ball, by any means, but if you want the engine, tranny, airbags, glass, whatever, it's all here in one package. The transmission doesn't slip to my knowledge. The day before the accident, I drove it to Emporia and back, and noticed that I hate the car. And it had a vibration at 75 80 mph. I will be as honest as possible when it comes to questions about it. I really wouldn't want somebody to buy it without knowing what they are getting into. The rear wheels are not Neon wheels, and they will not fit the front. There's Sprite all over the inside of the car too. It was in between my sons legs when he got hit. Probably a little pee, too.

I'll drop the asking price to $750.00. @ 11:00 this morning, I got a call from someone who might be able to fix this on the cheap. He will be coming out today to look at it, and give me a quote. I want to be straightforward about this, because if he can repair it at a good price, I will pull the ad.

I put a 70 series tire on the drivers side rear, and took that tire and moved it to the front. I laid out a fresh coating of duct tape on the side as well. So, with all the mods I have in it.........650.

Bump. I drive it 5 days a week. Logged about 250 miles on it since the wreck, nothing dangerous when driving, although you get the feeling that the car might come around on you sometimes. Probably because the pass. side mirror reflects the caved in part of the car. Kind of freaky.

I'd be happy to negociate a good price between you and I. But I wouldn't want to go lower than 550.
